How You Do One Thing Is the Way You Do Most Things

By Suzanne Holman .One of the highlights at Miraval Resort in Tucson, Arizona is the Equine Experience. I did NOT want to miss this opportunity. I gave up my appointment for a spa treatment because it conflicted with this activity.

Purple Sage Ranch is just a dusty road away from the main resort. Wyatt Webb, best-selling author and psychotherapist met us, loaded us up in the van and off we went to meet the horses.

We weren’t there to ride the horses, but to do simple tasks with them. Interacting with a horse gives you insight into yourself. The idea of the Equine Experience is that the way you do one thing is the way you do most things.

Although I hadn’t had any traumatic experiences with horses, I really didn’t have much confidence because I hadn’t even been riding for over 30 years. And I’ve never groomed a horse.

So, our assignment was to pick out dirt from a horse’s hooves, brush him a couple of different ways, and lead him around the ring. Later, we did another activity, lunging, that I’ll describe in my next blog post.

Cherokee was my horse, a beautiful brown and white. He had quite a personality, seeming to talk to us and often interacting with the fence to get our attention.

HOWEVER, he was not about to lift his hoof for me to clean it.

I followed the described procedure. Hoof stayed firmly planted.

I felt as though I was assertive and he should have gotten the message.

When he didn’t, I started feeling as though this wasn’t going to work for me.

AND caught myself. Yes, I can do this. I walked away from the horse and approached him again with the thought in my mind that he definitely was going to need to pick up his hoof and he did! And I did the same with the second hoof. First try. Yay!

So, when I was really DECISIVE, he got the message.

The same thing happened when I was about to walk him around the ring.

Hmmm, I’m pulling and he is standing still.

“OK, Cherokee. We are going for a walk and here we go.” My assertive steps soon had his following mine very nicely.

It was really clear to me that if I were more decisive in the actions I take in my business, that I would most likely see more positive results. Doubt and uncertainty can certainly make an announcement to all involved that they don’t want to go along with an indecisive person!

Our attitude has a lot to do with our brain health. Thinking positively and focusing on what is going well can make a huge difference in the clarity of our thinking.

8 Exercise and Energy Boosters

We all know how important it is to get plenty of exercise, both for health and for weight loss. Unfortunately, many of us don't get as much exercise as we know we should. Maybe you are just too busy to work a regular exercise program into your day but too often the reason for skipping an exercise workout is that you just don't have enough energy to motivate you. Some of us feel as though we have no energy from the time we get up in the morning while others seem to experience a mid-day slump. If all you need to get you up and moving is a boost to your energy level, then here are eight fantastic ways to turn up the momentum.

1. Eat more often. Instead of having three regular meals each day, break your food consumption down to six smaller meals. Your loss of energy may be due to drops in blood sugar in between meals. Eating more often will stabilize your glucose levels and give your energy levels a boost.

2. Take up meditation or yoga or any other method of relaxation. Stress and depression can be at the root of a lagging energy drive. Take a few minutes to meditate before a big meeting or do thirty minutes of yoga every evening in order to wind down. Getting rid of anxiety can keep stressful situations from zapping your energy.

3. Make some necessary lifestyle changes. Drinking alcohol and using tobacco are both habits that will deplete your body of nutrients and drain your energy. Alcohol can also cause dehydration which is one of the worst energy drainers of all and it can prevent you from getting the deep sleep you need to wake up feeling energetic.

4. Get a thyroid test. If you are frequently feeling tired even after a restful night's sleep, you may have hypothyroidism. A simple blood test can determine this for sure. Women are more likely to have underactive thyroid problems than men, especially those who have just given birth or are nearing menopause.

5. Add more whole grains to your diet in place of sugar. This is another way to balance your glucose levels instead of having energy highs and lows as your sugar goes up and then drops as insulin is released in response. Skip the fruit pastries for breakfast and choose a whole grain muffin instead. Choose whole wheat for your sandwiches instead of white bread or buns and you will also add more fiber to your diet which most of us don't get enough of.

6. Take a walk or take a nap. Sometimes the activity of taking a midday walk is all it takes to wake up your body and actually increase your energy. For some people, a power nap in the middle of a day is the best way to feel refreshed and improve their energy level. Whichever one works best for you, take anywhere from ten to thirty minutes to make a significant difference for you.

7. Eat a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables every day. Different types of produce contain different vitamins and minerals that your body needs to function and to produce energy. Choose different colors of vegetables to get a little of everything.

8. Allow more time for sleep. Many people believe that they are just fine with six hours of sleep but they really need to sleep another hour or longer to get the amount of rest they need to function at their maximum potential. Just because you are in the habit of sleeping from 11pm to 5am doesn't mean that is all the rest your body needs.

There are many natural, healthy ways to increase your energy including those listed here. Try these instead of turning to high caffeinated beverages and energy drinks to give you a boost that will only let you down in the end!

Five Things I've Learned to Become Successful in Life

by Patric Chan

Another month has passed and life continues to grow towards what you want or the other way round.

Did you set a goal early this year? Well, did you get what you want by now - after so many months of working hard for it? Apparently, most people don't and that's the problem with setting goals.

We cannot be setting goals with the intention of trying to get what we want because that will become a chasing game which will wear you out. Maybe not for you, but I know I will when I'm chasing 'something'. The goal must be a part of us. My goal is to become who I want and where I want to be mentally and physically.

Your goals must be something that you achieve internally so that you can see it, taste it, smell it and feel it.

Wealth. Love. Connection. Knowledge. Experience.

If you were to evaluate what's success, it boils down to being happy.

I'm not trying to play Zen Master here but to make a point how we make our lives complicated without understanding the true purpose of our action. Life doesn't have to be that way.

There are a few things I've learned from observations and experiencing this year and I'm glad to share them with you today. Who knows, they may give you a shortcut for your journey to obtain the success you're seeking...

i. Your mind attracts what you want. This year, I have my fair share of enjoying successes and experiencing setbacks in life. And when I sit back to think about it, they come in 'sequences'. Once I've gained success, I'll have the momentum to get another one. When I failed and stay in that state, another failure will come again. I don't know, some called it Law of Attraction. To me, I strongly believe that you get what you want based on what your mind thinks because it 'attracts'.

ii. There's one time Grandma falls sick and stayed in the hospital for couple of days. When I visited her in the hospital, I felt blessed that she's still in this beautiful world. Although it's nothing serious, but my heart tells me one thing- nothing in this world will give me the same love and relationship I have with her.

There are only two factors that will remove your love and relationship with someone you care about- when he/she is no longer here or you have ignored the treasure you have today for something that is less valuable but perceived to be valuable. Let me warn you-- once they're gone, they're gone. You should know who to call, hug or kiss by now.

iii. Know your roots. If you're successful today, you're probably once a 'nobody'. Always be humble because it will give you more success in life. I mean, isn't that how you got to where you are today? Knowing your roots also means remembering those who have supported you when you're growing and stayed by your side through thin and thickness. They are just there because they want to be there for you with no other hidden expectations.

iv. Explore life like there's no ending. Listen to new music. Visit new places. Eat at new restaurants. Play new sports. Meet new people. And an endless list of things you can do regardless of whether you're wealthy or not. You see, money doesn't stop you from exploring life. Obviously, you can't do the many things that Bill Gates or Richard Branson can do but there are easily hundreds of things you can do with what you have today. Do you know why we live? I don't have the answer but I'm 100% sure it's not to work and whine about what we don't have.

v. Life is great. As I'm writing this, I'm in my new condominium with nice yellow lightings, listening to a wonderful music and my wife is making a cup of coffee for me. I can feel the cool breeze coming in from the balcony while sitting on a soft brand new, purple sofa. In front of me, I can see a mirror- and when I looked deep; I thank God for giving me this amazing life. Not because my Ego's saying I have an amazing life, but it's really true.

You have an amazing life whether you want to admit it or not. There are people sleeping on the streets today, wandering to look for food and so on. Because you're reading this, I dare to assume that you have a computer- which also means that you're under a roof and are an educated person. You have eyes to read and a wonderful brain to think. For that, life is already great. The rest are bonuses.

Some might complain about being financially broke. You can be broke but you can never be poor because being broke is a temporarily state that can be changed. It might not be now but with sheer persistence and effort combined with using the right information and a willingness to take action, it's just a matter of time before you look back satisfied and said, “I was once broke but now, I'm wealthy and living the life I've always wanted.” Does that sound good? Then, why not make it a reality because you can.

Why Average People Remain Average

By Patric Chan

If you do what you're expected to do, don't expect an outstanding result, my friend.

Study successful people and you'll sure to discover one thing that many of them would have in common... they live by that words of “always do more than what is expected of you”

I don't care. It could be sleeping an hour less everyday to have more time to build your wealth or whatsoever.

Whether you are mowing people's lawn or someone is mowing your lawn, when you are teaching a seminar or being a participant, or when sharing your knowledge or giving advice to your people, always do or give more than what people expect. Then they will flock around you, they will line up to meet you and be happy to support you in whatever thing that you want to do next.

If you're training to be a champion, don't just train like an average player. Train more than you're expected to train.

If you're building a multi-level marketing business, increase the numbers of prospects you would like to meet everyday. If it used to be 10, now you would have at least 12. By just increasing your effort 20%, you'll end up with 60 new prospects a month. Now, that's what I called exponential.

Trying to win a girl's heart? I'm not surprise that you could be “competing” with three other guys for the same girl. And you can only win if you're giving more than all of them if everyone's equal. I'm not saying giving more money or buying stuff' give love, time or whatever that counts to her.

Whenever you are interacting with people or in a relationship, treat the other party extremely well.

Whatever is expected of you in that relationship, be it with your girlfriend or business partner or client, your spouse or your friend, always do or give more than what is expected of you in that relationship for that is the secret of making it a success. It is not that you have to do or give a whole lot more; you have to do just a little bit more than the rest. That's it. The 10mm-difference is what Anthony Robbins calls it for you to become outstanding... in any undertaking.

To do this, it's not difficult. But most people are just too lazy to put in the effort. I'm one of them but I'll always keep reminding myself this' winner takes all. There is no second place, my friend. I would rather strive with the extra effort to get #1 because the pay off is many times greater.

Do you remember who the second best basketball player is? Nope. You can remember Michael Jordan because he's #1. In fact, as far as I know, there's no such place as 'the second best basketball player'.

Who's the second fastest runner in the world? Who knows. I just know the #1.

Others have called this 'more than expected attitude' as 'going for the extra mile'. Notice that they don't say the extra 10 miles.

How come?

Because the average persons don't bother to do more than what is expected of them. I know it's sad but that's the truth.

To most people, "always do more than what is expected of you" are mere words and they don't put substance to it because people are greedy and they just want to do the bare minimum to make money, to make a profit or whatever.

And guess what... successful people are never your average persons.

To be generous and to treat others extremely well, you must come from the perspective of abundance thinking. Then only “always doing more than what is expected of you” will come easy and naturally.

So the next time you are with somebody, or in a business negotiation, or just interacting with another person, ask how can I help you... without even expecting any return.

As the other saying goes-- you have to give, in order to get. In fact, if you want to gather riches you have to be as generous as you can. Touch people's lives profoundly, in ways that they would never forget. Give it forward... help another and that person will help another. Always do more than what is expected of you. Do this and the reward will come to you 10 folds or 100 folds when you are least expecting it.

Do you think you can do more than what you're doing today? Of course you can. The question is... DO YOU WANT OR NOT? You'll have to decide for your own future on that.

Inspiring Stories - The Tiger

By Remez Sasson

A teacher and his student were walking from one village to another, when they suddenly heard a roar behind them. Turning their gaze in the direction of the roar, they saw a big tiger following them. The first thing the student wanted to do was to run away, but as he has been studying and practicing self-discipline, he was able to halt himself, waiting to see what his teacher was going to do.

"What shall we do Master?" Asked the student.

The teacher looked at the student and answered in a calm voice:

"There are several options. We can fill our minds with paralyzing fear so that we cannot move, and let the tiger do with us whatever pleases it. We can faint. We can run away, but then it will run after us. We can fight with it, but physically it is stronger than us."

"We can pray to god to save us. We can choose to influence the tiger with the power of our mind, if our concentration is strong enough. We can send it love. We can also concentrate and meditate on our inner power, and on the fact that we are one with the entire universe, including the tiger, and in this way influence its soul."

"Which option do you choose?"

"You are the Master. You tell me what to do. We don't have much time." The student responded.

The master turned his gaze fearlessly towards the tiger, emptied his mind from all thoughts, and entered a deep state of meditation. In his consciousness, he embraced everything in the universe, including the tiger. In this state the consciousness of the teacher became one with consciousness of the tiger.

Meanwhile the student started to shiver with fear, as the tiger was already quite close, ready to make a leap at them. He was amazed at how his teacher could stay so calm and detached in the face of danger.

Meanwhile the teacher continued to meditate without fear. After a little while, the tiger gradually lowered its head and tail and went away.

The student asked his teacher in astonishment, "What did you do?"

"Nothing. I just cleared all thoughts from my mind and united myself in spirit with the tiger. We became united in peace on the spiritual level. The tiger sensed the inner calmness, peace, and unity and felt no threat or need to express violence, and so walked away."

"When the mind is silent and calm, its peace is automatically transmitted to everything and everyone around, influencing them deeply", concluded the teacher.

Positive Thinking Your Key to Success

by Remez Sasson

Positive thinking brings inner peace, success, improved relationships, better health, happiness and satisfaction. It also helps the daily affairs of life move more smoothly, and makes life look bright and promising.

Positive thinking is contagious. People around you pick your mental moods and are affected accordingly. Think about happiness, good health and success, and you will cause people to like you and desire to help you, because they enjoy the vibrations that a positive mind emits.

In order to make positive thinking yield results, you need to develop a positive attitude toward life, expect a successful outcome of whatever you do, but also take any necessary actions to ensure your success.

Effective positive thinking that brings results is much more than just repeating a few positive words, or telling yourself that everything is going to be all right. It has to be your predominant mental attitude. It is not enough to think positively for a few moments, and then letting fears and lack of belief enter your mind. Some effort and inner work are necessary.

Are you willing to make a real inner change?

Are you willing to change the way you think?

Are you willing to develop a mental power that can positively affect you, your environment and the people around you?

Here are a few actions and tips to help you develop the power of positive thinking:

Always use only positive words while thinking and while talking. Use words such as, 'I can', 'I am able', 'it is possible', 'it can be done', etc.

Allow into your awareness only feelings of happiness, strength and success.

Try to disregard and ignore negative thoughts. Refuse to think such thoughts, and substitute them with constructive happy thoughts.

In your conversation use words that evoke feelings and mental images of strength, happiness and success.

Before starting with any plan or action, visualize clearly in your mind its successful outcome. If you visualize with concentration and faith, you will be amazed at the results.

Read at least one page of inspiring book every day.

Watch movies that make you feel happy.

Minimize the time you listen to the news and read the papers.

Associate yourself with people who think positively.

Always sit and walk with your back straight. This will strengthen your confidence and inner strength.

Walk, swim or engage in some other physical activity. This helps to develop a more positive attitude.

Think positive and expect only favorable results and situations, even if your current circumstances are not as you wish them to be. In time, your mental attitude will affect your life and circumstances and change them accordingly.

Follow the tips and suggestions in this article, and prove to yourself the reality the power of positive thinking. More advanced and powerful techniques, instructions and exercises can be found in the following books:

Visualize and Achieve

Affirmations Words of Power

When you expect success and say "I can", you fill yourself with confidence and joy.

Fill your mind with light, hope and feelings of strength, and soon your life will reflect these qualities.

Tips for Happiness in Daily Life

by Remez Sasson

Daily life can be made happier. It is a matter of choice. It is our attitude that makes us feel happy or unhappy. It is true, we meet all kinds of situations during the day, and some of them may not be conductive to happiness. We can choose to keep thinking about the unhappy events, and we can choose to refuse to think about them, and instead, relish the happy moments. All of us constantly go through various situations and circumstances, but we do not have to let them influence our reactions and feelings.

If we let outer events influence our moods, we become their slaves. We lose our freedom. We let our happiness be determined by outer forces. On the other hand, we can free ourselves from outer influences. We can choose to be happy, and we can do a lot to add happiness to our lives.

What is happiness? It is a feeling of inner peace and satisfaction. It is usually experienced when there are no worries, fears or obsessing thoughts, and this usually happens, when we do something we love to do or when we get, win, gain or achieve something that we value. It seems to be the outcome of positive events, but it actually comes from the inside, triggered by outer events.

For most people, happiness seems fleeting and temporary, because they allow external circumstances to affect it. One of the best ways to keep it, is by gaining inner peace through daily meditation. As the mind becomes more peaceful, it becomes easier to choose the happiness habit.

Here are a few tips for increasing happiness in daily life:

1) Endeavor to change the way you look at things. Always look at the bright side. The mind may drag you to think about negativity and difficulties. Don't let it. Look at the good and positive side of every situation.

2) Think of solutions, not problems.

3) Listen to relaxing, uplifting music.

4) Watch funny comedies that make you laugh.

5) Each day, devote some time to reading a few pages of an inspiring book or article.

6) Watch your thoughts. Whenever you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, start thinking of pleasant things.

7) Always look at what you have done and not at what you haven't.

Sometimes you may begin the day with the desire to accomplish several objectives. At the end of the day you might feel frustrated and unhappy, because you haven't been able to do all of those things.

Look at what you have done, not at what you have not been able to do. You may have accomplished a lot during the day, and yet you let yourself become frustrated, because of some small things that you did not accomplish. You have spent all day successfully carrying out many plans, and instead of feeling happy and satisfied, you look at what was not accomplished and feel unhappy. It is unfair toward yourself.

8) Each day do something good for yourself. It can be something small, such buying a book, eating something you love, watching you favorite program on TV, going to a movie, or just having a stroll on the beach.

9) Each day do at least one act to make others happy. This can be a kind word, helping your colleagues, stopping your car at the crossroad to let people cross, giving your seat in a bus to someone else, or giving a small present to someone you love. The possibilities are infinite. When you make someone happy, you become happy, and then people try to make you happy.

10) Always expect happiness.

11) Do not envy people who are happy. On the contrary, be happy for their happiness.

12) Associate with happy people, and try to learn from them to be happy. Remember, happiness is contagious.

13) Do your best to stay detached, when things do not proceed as intended and desired. Detachment will help you stay calm and control your moods and reactions. Detachment is not indifference. It is the acceptance of the good and the bad and staying balanced. Detachment has much to do with inner peace, and inner peace is conductive to happiness.

14) Smile more often.

Achieving Your Dreams And Goals Turning Dreams Into Reality

Achieving Your Dreams And Goals Turning Dreams Into Reality

By Remez Sasson

Achieving your dreams and goals depends on several factors:

1. You should have a specific goal.
2. You have to be sure that you really want to achieve your goal.
3. You need to have a clear mental image of your goal.
4. You need a strong desire.
5. You need to disregard and reject doubts and thoughts about failure.
6. Show confidence and faith and persevere until you gain success

How many people fulfill all the above-mentioned requirements? Just a few! Most people do not know that there are some laws governing success, which should be followed.

It is so easy and simple to daydream and then say, "Well it is just a daydream. It will never come true". It is so easy to give up due to lack of faith.

Achieving your goals shouldn't be a tough ordeal. In fact, it can be fun and pleasure, if you go in the right way. It is not hard physical work that brings success. Great success does not require hard physical labor. In fact, you need to do mental work.

Visualization and repeating affirmations make up this mental work, and are important stepping stones to achieving success. When you visualize and affirm you focus and channel your energies toward your goal. Your mind is geared toward finding solutions to bring your goal into manifestation.

By thinking in a positive manner on your goal, and not letting any doubts enter your mind, your intuition starts working, you see opportunities, and you have energy at your disposal to follow your goals and dreams.

Some people listen to subliminal messages, for programming their minds for success. There are many CD's available today, which implant subliminal messages into the mind, so as to activate its power. Some people prefer to use them, because this does not require any effort on their part. It is said that these subliminal messages, which go straight to the subconscious mind, bring faster results. Maybe they do, but then you have no control on what goes into your mind.

When you visualize and affirm your goals, you gain much more then just programming your mind passively with subliminal messages. The attention, intention and energy you channel toward visualizing and affirming, develop in you inner strength, concentration, willpower and self-discipline. You actively develop your inner powers.

One of the advantages of visualization and affirmations is that you can use them wherever you are, at any time, without the necessity of any external instruments. All you need is your mind.

Success appears in various ways, sometimes in a miraculous way, sometimes in an ordinary way, and sometimes through an opportunity that appears. A door opens, but you have to get in and take advantage of the opportunity.

Correctly following these methods will bring you more ambition, inspiration and motivation, which would enhance your chances of success.

Remember, there are big goals and there are many small daily goals, which visualization and affirmations can make them easier and faster to achieve.

People often erroneously think that goals mean only big goals, such as:

becoming wealthy,

getting an expensive car,

possessing a big house with a swimming pool,

building a very successful business.

The truth is that the following are no less important goals:

getting to work on time,

spending more time with the family,

reading a book,

going to see a movie,

eating less.

How do you visualize and affirm?

Are there any special rules and instructions?

Yes, there are!

Like any other subject, if you want to do it right you need to study it right. It is simple and easy to learn to achieve success through visualization and affirmations. Anyone can learn to use them right. Browse the website, and you will find a lot of practical and useful information.

Dare To Experiment With Your Ideas...And Reap The Rewards That Come With It

By Ron Balagot

Creativity is inventing, experimenting,

growing, taking risks, breaking rules,

making mistakes, and having fun.

~ Mary Lou Cook ~

An excellent quality you'll want to develop in yourself, if you want to experience more fulfillment in life, is the willingness or courage to experiment.

It is one of the key qualities of highly creative people.

In fact, without this quality, many inventions, creative works, and more would have never materialized. They would have just stayed ideas in people’s minds.

And as a result, we would not have benefited from them.

I mean, think what would have happened if Thomas Edison (who has more than a thousand inventions to his name) had stopped experimenting after his 50th (or so) attempt at creating the light bulb? Or if he didn’t experiment at all? Well, we wouldn’t have the light bulb today, now, would we?

And that goes for so many other things we now enjoy.

Of course, besides the willingness to experiment, you need to be aware of other important factors that must come into play when experimenting.

What do I mean?

Well, it’s also critical when experimenting that:

You avoid prejudging the outcome (or avoid entertaining all kinds of negative thoughts). And you avoid worrying about the things you cannot control. Instead, you do your part by experimenting and then leave the outcome completely to God.

You remain in a highly focused state (where nothing else matters except the task at hand).

You make it a goal to enjoy the process (deciding ahead of time that you’ll do your best to enjoy, or have fun, experimenting—in other words, deciding not to take things too seriously—makes a big difference, because it puts you in an empowering state).

You be willing to make mistakes…even if it means you have to look awkward or foolish at times (Thomas Edison was said to have made thousands of attempts before finally inventing the light bulb…and he reached his goal despite the discouraging words of others).

You believe (without a shred of doubt) that you’ll eventually get your desired result (belief is a very powerful force).

You persist in experimenting despite internal and external resistance.

Another good strategy you can use is to make it a habit of asking questions like the following, whenever you come up with an idea: “What if I did this?” Or, “What would happen if I did this?” Or, “What if I…(then simply finish the question based on your situation)?”

Questions that start with “What if…?” or "What would happen if...?" are powerful questions.

(You see, those kinds of questions also motivate you to want to find out what will happen…in order to satisfy your curiosity.)

I can’t stress enough the importance of developing this quality in yourself...the willingness—the courage—to experiment. Looking back at my own life, had I not experimented as much as I did, many of the ideas I had in mind would have stayed that way…just ideas.

That’s why I strongly encourage experimentation. Not only do I know that it works, I also know that it's highly rewarding. (It's a wonderful feeling to see an idea—something that was once only in your head—turn into something that others can benefit from.)

Again, just remember, it’s not enough to be willing to experiment. It’s also important that you don’t give up when there's resistance (resistance from within yourself or outside yourself…for example, the negative feedback of others). Because if you do, you’ll never achieve your desired results.

Persistence is a very important quality. In fact, so important that President Calvin Coolidge said the following:

Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education alone will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.

So, let me ask you: What’s been playing around in your head for a long time? (Or lately?) What ideas have you written down? Or typed on your computer? What do you want to see materialize so that others could benefit?

If your inner critic is trying to hold you back, I suggest you completely ignore it. Then just go ahead and experiment, experiment, experiment. (In fact, be a person who constantly experiments. Be an "experimenter.") And see just how far you can go with your ideas.

I can promise you that the emotional rewards will be great.

12 Ways To Unleash The Courage Within

By Ron Balagot

What you are about to learn are very powerful ways to help you get from where you are to where you want to go. When you consistently apply the principles below, you will notice a dramatic and positive change in your life.

Before we move on, though, I’d like to explain why I use the word “unleash.”

I am convinced that courage is already within us all and only needs to be “unleashed.” There’s a part of us that knows this—whether or not we readily admit it. We only need to accept this fact.

For many years, we have been taught by society, and sadly, even by our well-meaning relatives or friends, why we should not do something, or why we should not pursue a particular goal. They try to discourage us in a number of ways. Sometimes, it may not be that they don’t believe in us or our ideas, but that they feel that if they were to pursue the idea/goal themselves, they wouldn’t have the courage to do it—they would be too afraid.

In other words, they pass on their fears to us unconsciously (and unintentionally). Unfortunately, we end up making fewer attempts as a result. And the less we attempt to do something because of fear (the fears others programmed into us) the less our minds believe that courage is already within us. And the less our minds believe that courage is already within us, the more it becomes true (a reality) for us.

In my first article, Run Freely (A Lesson About Courage), I shared with you an important lesson I learned, through observation, many years ago—and that is: Courage has always been inside of us from the time we were children. (And since we were all children at one time, courage is inside “all” of us.)

Courage is not something that comes from outside of us (although external factors or influences can help in drawing that courage out, or can help in getting us to be more in touch with that courage—and that's what I would like to share with you in the principles below), because absolute courage (or fearlessness) is the very nature of our “spirit” (at least here in the physical world—I say “physical” because in the physical world, nothing can harm a spirit...and another reason I stress “physical” is because others may say, “The devil is a spirit. Why, then, does the devil fear God?”).

I love the quote I read in one of Wayne Dyer's books years ago. (Wayne Dyer, by the way, is a highly recognized best-selling author and motivational speaker.) The quote was actually by Pierre Teilhard de Chardin...and it goes like this:

We are not human beings

having a spiritual experience.

We are spiritual beings

having a human experience.

I figured, that's probably why kids (especially those at an early age) are so courageous (and less self-conscious). They are more in touch with that “spirit” part of themselves.

In fact, I believe that through the years, as people grow up towards adulthood, they have gotten less and less in touch with that “spirit” part of themselves due to the many self-created (or imaginary) fears—or due to fears that have been passed on to them by others (or society). These fears started to gradually cover up their fearless nature—their very essence or core—just like mold gradually covers up a piece of fresh bread left out in the open.

Keeping the above in mind, here, then, are 12 ways (I'll cover more in future articles) to unleash the courage within:

1. Reinforce in your being the conviction that you are a “fearless” spirit in a physical body. It's your true nature. It's your very essence. Accept this fact and your life will change in positive ways.

Detach yourself from the fear of the body, and the mind, clinging instead to the fearlessness of the spirit.

~ Chin-Ning Chu ~

It is in your power to discover that who you really are has nothing to fear, but that you make yourself fearful each time you look outside of yourself for some power to make you feel fearless.

~ Guy Finley ~

2. Simply attempt. JUST DO IT. Avoid overanalyzing (which usually results in procrastination). Once you've decided to do something, just do it (avoid delaying unnecessarily).

Over time, this reinforces the feeling of courage in your nervous system. You'll be more and more in touch with the courageous part of yourself. And as a result, taking action (without hesitating) will feel more natural to you.

It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that things are difficult.

~ Seneca ~

Do it like there's no one watching, do it like you don't need the money, do it like you just can't lose, JUST DO IT.

~ Nike Ad ~

In other words, do your best not to give fear (or excuses) a chance to creep in. Why? Because when that happens, the following is what normally results (as Seneca's quote explains):

A man who suffers before it is necessary suffers more than is necessary.

Also, as Publilius Syrus' quote explains:

Valor grows by daring, fear by holding back.

3. Give yourself permission to be courageous (avoid allowing yourself to be cowardly). And avoid giving others (or anything) permission to make you feel fearful. The key word here is “permission.”

Understanding this principle and applying it in your daily life will empower you in ways you may not have imagined before. It puts you in a powerful position because it gives you control (in other words, you won't be just a mindless punching bag to others). You are able to “consciously” decide whether or not someone will influence you in a negative way. As a result, you'll be more at ease in dealing with others, no matter who they are.

You see, the reason some people are bullied is because “they permit it.” They give permission to the bully to bully them. But the moment they no longer give permission to the bully to mistreat them, the bully loses his/her power.

(There's an excellent section on this concept of “permission” in Gerry Spence's book, How To Argue And Win Every Time.)

No one can make you feel inferior without your permission.

~ Eleanor Roosevelt ~

Starting now, never again permit hard or disapproving facial expressions to intimidate you.

~ Vernon Howard ~

4. Reinforce the belief that the only power others have is the power you give them. Their power comes from you. In fact, it is your gift to them. Their power is merely “your perception” of their power (in other words, the source of their power is in your mind). And you have a choice at any moment how much power you will give them.

This very powerful principle can be applied to fears/anxieties you may have when dealing with others. As you regularly apply this principle, you’ll be more at ease when dealing with anyone, even authority figures or influential people. Also, with this knowledge, it will be in your power to give “less” or “no” power to those who like to abuse it (ex. bullies or difficult people in general).

This empowers you, and reinforces your courage at the same time, because you are in a position to make a “conscious” decision (just like principle #3 above). People won’t be able to abuse power because their power comes from you in the first place. At any moment, you can easily take back any power you’ve already given them...“just by deciding.”

(Again, there's an excellent section/chapter on this principle in Gerry Spence's book, How To Argue And Win Every Time.)

No human being has any authority over you. Your life belongs to you and to you alone. No scowling face or irritated manner, no challenging posture or threatening tone has any power to make you feel nervous or anxious, frightened or angry. This is a fact; and anyone who is tired of letting someone else tell them how to feel can use this self-liberating principle to win true and lasting independence. Your true nature answers to no man.

~ Guy Finley ~

No one can make you happy or sad or excited or angry unless you give them that power over your life. Decide right now to only give your power to those things, circumstances, and people that support you in getting what you want.

~ Marshall Sylver ~

Don't let the negativity given to you by the world disempower you. Instead give to yourself that which empowers you.

~ Les Brown ~

5. Reinforce the belief that the only power “anything” has is the power you give it. The power that events and experiences have over you will depend on the meaning you give them. (Two people can go through similar experiences but will respond in completely different ways, depending on what meaning they give those experiences.)

Again, just like principles 3 and 4 above, applying this principle will empower you because you will have the ability to make a “conscious” decision (it gives you the power of “choice”—you get to choose how you will perceive or interpret any event, experience, etc.).

Nothing has any power over me other than that which I give it through my conscious thoughts.

~ Anthony Robbins ~

If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself but to your own estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.

~ Marcus Aurelius ~

Nothing has any power except the power that you give it.

~ Marshall Sylver ~

6. Apply the “calmness linked to fear” technique (a powerful technique that can help you remain calm in situations that would normally trigger fear/anxiety).

Imagine one of your biggest fears, whatever it is (a situation, a thing, a specific person, a type of person, etc.). Then imagine or visualize (in “associated” mode—meaning, you are seeing things in your surroundings from inside your own body...and not watching yourself as an actor on a movie screen) yourself being calm—being relaxed.

For example, if one of your biggest fears is having confrontations with certain types of people (ex. bullies or difficult people), imagine the bully in front of you (you can do this with your eyes open or closed—whatever is more comfortable for you), yelling at you—at the top of his/her voice, insulting you, putting you down, “commanding” you (like a dictator) to do things, etc. (imagine the worst case scenario). And while the bully is doing these things to you, “consciously” relax your body.

Be aware of any tension in your body, then think “relax.” Be aware of your breathing to make sure it's not shallow or too fast. Breathe naturally...in a relaxed manner. Feel your body becoming more and more relaxed as you imagine the bully doing his/her all to shake your foundation.

You could even smile...and I mean “actually smile”...or smile inside...while you're looking straight at him/her (as if you were saying to him/her, “Who are you trying to fool?”). Or even laugh inside...while you're looking at him/her. Whatever it takes for you to reach an empowering state—a “calm” or “relaxed” state.

The goal of this exercise is to link/associate the feeling of “calmness” or “being relaxed” with that particular fear (in this case, the bully) you're imagining.

If you do this exercise effectively (by the way, you can do it as many times as needed—although I’ve found that one or two sessions usually does the trick), when you are put in a situation where you have to face that particular fear (ex. the bully), you will feel calm or relaxed. Or, at the very least, the fear (or anxiety) you normally would have felt will have decreased dramatically to the point where it no longer bothers or paralyzes you.

7. Constantly work on increasing your self-awareness—your self-knowledge. As some would say: Know thyself.

The more you know about yourself (your strengths, weaknesses, fears, beliefs, goals, motives, etc.), the calmer, more confident, and more courageous you'll be.

When two people meet, the prize always goes to the one with the most self-insight. He will be calmer, more confident, more at ease with the other.

~ Vernon Howard ~

He who knows much about others may be learned, but he who understands himself is more intelligent. He who controls others may be powerful, but he who has mastered himself is mightier still.

~ Lao-Tzu ~

8. Make a list of the following, and review regularly, or once in a while (depending on the need), to serve as empowering reminders:

Your past successes/victories

Risks you've taken in the past

Your past courageous acts

By reminding yourself of past victories, courageous acts, etc., it helps empower you in the present moment. Basically, what you’re saying to yourself, as you face the present challenge, is, “I’ve succeeded many times before, therefore I can do it again.” Or, “I’ve been victorious many times in the past, therefore I can be victorious again.”

9. Surround yourself with others who help uplift your spirit. Avoid associating with those who like to bring you down or belittle your ideas (either because they don't believe in you or your ideas—or because they know they would be fearful in the same situation...and they want you to feel the same way so they won’t be alone in feeling that way). In other words, choose your environment (which includes the people who surround you on a regular basis) wisely.

Remember: Courage is contagious. And so is cowardice.

We need to find the courage to say NO to the things and people that are not serving us if we want to rediscover ourselves and live our lives with authenticity.

~ Barbara De Angelis ~

To succeed in life, you have to forget about most people. If you want to rise to the top, you have to disregard the opinions, reactions, and warnings of others.

~ Ken Roberts ~

10. Get used to dealing with the unexpected (or uncertainty). In other words, don't wait until you have all the answers, or until you know it all, before taking any action. Don't wait until all conditions are perfect before taking the necessary steps you know you should take.

By mastering this skill, you’ll be able to go out there in the world with courage and confidence, taking one action after another, no matter what the conditions may be. You’ll be so used to dealing with the unexpected (having the ability to handle anything that comes your way) that even during times when you are not quite 100% prepared, you’ll feel confident in taking action.

The number one characteristic of students who later become heads of companies is the ability to withstand uncertainty.

~ David A. Thomas

Dean, Cornell Business School ~

It is the individual's ability to deal with the unexpected that characterizes the difference between success and failure.

~ Ross Perot ~

The following quotes explain why it’s usually not a good idea to wait until “all conditions are perfect” before taking action:

If you wait until the wind and the weather

are just right, you will never plant anything and never harvest anything.

~ Ecclesiastes 11:4 (Good News Bible) ~

Nothing will ever be attempted if all possible objections must be first overcome.

~ Samuel Johnson ~

11. Simply decide that fear will not get in your way no matter what. If you happen to feel fear, for whatever reason, do what you have to do anyway. Act in spite of fear. You don't have to wait until the fear is gone. Like Susan Jeffers' book suggests: Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway.

In spite of fear, do what you have to do.

~ Chin-Ning Chu ~

Courage is acting in spite of fear.

~ Howard W. Hunter ~

12. Apply the “I have nothing to prove” or “I don't have to prove anything” attitude. Avoid feeling the need to prove yourself to anyone. Just be your natural self. Express your true self.

In fact, always make it your goal to “express,” not “impress.” When you’re focused on “expressing,” you’ll be more at ease.

Your true nature never needs to anxiously prove itself to others, but lives in calm command, like a popular king.

~ Vernon Howard ~

The real acid test of courage is to be just your honest self when everybody is trying to be like somebody else.

~ Andrew Jensen ~

The time men spend in trying to impress others, they could spend in doing the things by which others would be impressed.

~ Frank Romer ~

Naturalness is the easiest thing in the world to acquire, if you will forget yourself—forget about the impression you are trying to make.

~ Dale Carnegie ~

This above all: to thine own self be true.

~ William Shakespeare ~

[In addition to the 12 principles above, read my article, How To Be Confident And Relaxed When Speaking Before A Group Of People (Powerful Tips To Help You Become A Highly Effective Speaker/Presenter), if you haven't done so already. You'll find that many of the principles in that article can be applied to life in general.]

I would like to end this article with a beautiful story I read many years ago.

Michaelangelo, the world famous painter, sculptor, and architect was once asked how he could carve such magnificent statues. And he answered, “The perfect statue is already there within the block of marble. I simply chip away the excess.”

And so it is with courage. It's already there within you. You only need to create or devise ways (like the ones I shared with you above) to chip away—or get rid of—any unnecessary fears, worries, apprehensions, etc., so that the courage within you will be unleashed more fully.

Rise, Knight...Slay The Dragons In Your Path...Then Claim The Golden Crown

This aweome article I am sharing with you is from http://confidencetips-articles.blogspot.com/2005/06/rise-knight.html read about Ron Balagot amazing story http://www.publicspeakingtipsforyou.com/story/.  Ihope you enjoy!

The following is a powerful technique you can use to conquer your fears...and attain your dreams.

Imagine yourself being a brave knight, complete with armor, shield, helmet, and sword (or any weapon of your choice...ex. spear, bow and arrow, etc.). In other words, “act as if” you are a brave knight (one who has fought and won countless battles). You can do this with eyes open or closed...whichever you find more comfortable.

Stand the way a brave or fearless knight would stand. Breathe the way a brave knight would breathe. Gaze the way a brave knight would gaze. Feel yourself having the same kind of resolve and determination a brave knight would have.

And in your mind’s eye, focus on your target (your dream...visualize it vividly) in the distance (for the purpose of this article, let’s just use a “golden crown” as the target to symbolize your dream...when you’re applying this technique on your own, visualize exactly what it is you want instead of the golden crown), with such intensity, that you’re absolutely sure that nothing can stop you from attaining it. Better yet, believe that it’s already yours.

Imagine the golden crown with a bright light around it...as if it were drawing you towards it like a magnet...as if it were saying to you, “Come claim me. I’m yours.”

Then, in your mind’s eye, walk confidently and courageously towards the glowing crown. (If you wish to ride a horse instead, then go right ahead. You can even fly and do all kinds of acrobatics...just like what they do in The Matrix. Use your imagination to the fullest.)

And on your way to the crown, imagine one fire-breathing dragon after another flying towards you...trying to stop you from reaching the crown. (Include as many senses in your visualizations as possible. Hear the dragons’ wings flap. Hear the noise they make...including the sound of their breathing. See their huge, red eyes staring at you. Feel the heat of their breath. And so on.)

As each dragon comes towards you, strike it with your sword. And as your sword hits each one, imagine it getting blown to smithereens—just like the vampires in Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Blade. (If you wish, you can make it even more graphic. It’s up to you how you want to see the dragons defeated...how you want to see “your fears” defeated.) Use your imagination to the fullest. Don’t worry, no one will know you’re doing this. Remember, you’re merely visualizing all of this. So just go all out.

Let the glowing crown (your dream) in the distance inspire you to persist with courage and determination.

And when each dragon tries to breathe fire on you, simply use your shield to protect yourself. Imagine yourself being invincible as you continue to walk towards the brightly shining crown. Even though you feel intense heat all around you because of the fire coming from the dragons, it doesn’t bother you or make you retreat. You simply keep moving forward...with the confidence and conviction that nothing can get in your way.

Remember, you are a knight with absolute courage and unshakeable resolve. You are determined to get what you want...and absolutely nothing can stop you! In fact, nothing will stop you! The golden crown is as good as yours.

(Tip: As each dragon comes before you, you can label/name each one as a particular fear you may have. For example, as you look at the dragon before you, you can say, “Come on, rejection, let’s see what you’ve got.” Then without hesitation, strike the dragon with a quick swing of your sword...“POOF”...smithereens...like it was nothing. Or if a voice keeps playing in your head, telling you that you won’t succeed because you’re simply not good enough, bravely meet the dragon flying towards you and say, “You think you can stop me, negative critic? Well, you’re wrong! Take this!” Then drive your sword into the dragon’s body...“POOF”...smithereens. And continue to do this with each of your fears.)

Then after you’ve slain all the dragons, walk up to the golden crown and reach for it. Claim it. Hold it proudly with both hands and place it firmly on your head...knowing you deserve it. And as you do that, smile and experience the great feeling of victory.

Do this regularly or whenever you find all kinds of doubts, fears, worries, etc., creeping in. Then you will notice a difference in your attitude towards them...in the real world. You will feel like nothing can get in your way as you pursue your dreams.

So, now, I say to you, “Rise, knight. Slay the dragons in your path. Then claim the golden crown.”

Self-Esteem And Exercise

Self-Esteem And Exercise

Exercise is one of the best ways to improve self-esteem because when you exercise you feel good about yourself.  Physical exercise is also excellent for your general health and mental health.

Exercise  helps building  self-esteem , confidence and prevent depression.  Evidence shows that exercise can improve your life:
  • Maintains healthy blood sugar levels to prevent or control diabetes
  • Protects against osteoporosis
  • Great tool for reducing  stress
  • Prevents  heart disease
  • Improve mental health and physical health
  • Improve restful sleep

After I exercise I have a  lot of energy.  My muscles are toned and flexible .    Besides that, I had fun doing it and I improve my body , mental and physical health.

There are many ways you can exercise. Even 30 minutes a day of any physical exercising  makes the difference. Some people prefer  different exercising , this includes walking,  aerobic,  or even yoga.
I have exercise in different ways through out my life, among them: rowing, running, aerobics, callisthenic, weight lifting. However, I usually try to combine what is best for me and I feel comfortable with when I exercise. I  run 3 to 4 times a week and I go to the gym and lift some weights. I like to take advantage of the nice weather so when is warm I  like to train outside instead of going to the gym.

It is really  important to choose an exercise you best enjoy and are comfortable, instead of forcing yourself to do what you were  told to do. The idea   of  exercising is to enjoy doing what  you like and improve self esteem.   Is not a torture . That way  exercising results will be better for your health.

If your goal is to loose weight or gain weight for example, it is ok to commit to an exercise program until you reach your goal.  You will be proud that you did it and your self esteem and confidence get a booster. Your are committed   to the   exercising program and  achieved your goals.

However, once you reach your  goal, I would suggest to exercise doing  a work out that you really enjoy and to adopt physical exercising as part of your daily life to maintain your goal.
Exercise tips to improve self esteem and mental health.
Always warm up your muscles before you exercise, that way you  avoid  injury . Warming up increases blood flow so that your muscles will  move more easily.

Make sure to drink water before, during and after you exercise. It is the source of your  health. Shortage in water consumption  negatively impact  your health.  According to the Mayo Clinic water is your body's principal chemical component. Every system in your body depends on it that is because is important for your health. Water flushes toxins ,  carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.Lack of water can lead to dehydration and affect your health.

Never impose an exercise program that you don't feel comfortable with. Remember that the goal is to feel good while exercising . Choose an exercise you enjoy .

The optimal ways to exercise  is to do it regularly    not  all at once. For example, if you run, do it 3 to 4 times a week  instead of 2 hours every two weeks. This way you will also able to improve your health.

Always listen and feel  your body, check if while exercising you have to stop, then stop. Respect your  health .
Have a general check up with your doctor before doing exercising, this way you will be  sure your are in a good health condition and healthy.

There are different physical exercising you can do:  stretching  to improve muscles and joints, aerobic such as cycling, walking, running, hiking, and playing tennis to improve  cardiovascular endurance and weight training for body muscle strength. If for some reason you are not able to do any of them, do daily walking.

Another suggestion that is really important is to eat healthy foods and avoid junk foods . Make a  healthy daily diet a habit, choose the right foods.. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. Is best to choose whole grain foods like bread, pasta,  and rice and include protein like beef, chicken, fish or cheese.

8 ways to Boost Self Esteem

8 ways to Boost Self Esteem

If you are struggling with low self esteem  you can boost  self esteem  and improve  self confidence. I like to share how to apply my personal experiences   to your daily life. There are  many things you can start doing to boost  self esteem.

Here are some tips you can start applying to your daily life:

1  Honoring and loving yourself.   It is impossible to love and honor yourself if  you are constantly blaming others. Blaming means that you don't take responsibility for your life. When this happens you are powerless and engage in negative thinking.

2. How do I get out of this trap?.  I  changed my negative self talk. Changing your negative self talk is a great  boost . Give yourself permission to ask for your needs, say no, and see your beauty

3. Do not judge other people. If I find myself judging   I immediately change my attention. When you  judge others think that you are better than them or you use this judgment to feel better.

As Wayne Dyer said: Whenever you have a thought that excludes or judges anyone else, you aren't defining them. You're defining yourself as someone who needs to judge others.

4. Stop feeling guilty.  If want to eat  chocolate  I eat it without guilt. The same if I need a nap , play or just relax and do nothing. Remember that guilt paralyze you. Even if you were mistaken, assume responsibility and move on.

5.  Don't take personally  another person criticism</b>. I know that if come across to somebody that criticizes  me is not about me. Some people to think that are  better than others by putting them down. Start to take criticism as a feedback, and see if you could learn   from it.

6.  Exercising helps boosting self esteem, your mood, body image and  improve self confidence.  When I exercise I have spent time with myself. My myself. My body is light,  flexible and with  a lot of energy. I exercise frequently. I cannot run outside, I go to the gym. It is really important to choose an exercise you enjoy doing instead of  forcing yourself to do what you were told that it was better. Choose doing what you like, make it fun and enjoyable.

7.  Meditate. I meditate every day. When being in silence  I connect  to myself. It doesn't matter what meditation you use, the important issue is to be in silence. Meditation will connect you with your  source of self worth and helps to improve self confidence.

8.  Have sense of humor. I have a great sense of humor, that’s helps a lot because I won't dwell on self pity. Start feeling  happy. Read the article about constructive humor. Learn to laugh at yourself. People that are unable to laugh at themselves is because of their own insecurities and fears.

Celebrate success</b>. I celebrate  success every day; even the small ones helps your self confidence. I become conscious of them. ( I made dinner, I watered my plants, I was nice to an angry person,  etc). Celebrate also your positive qualities. This habit will keep you motivated. Take a moment and acknowledge every single effort do.

Practice any of the  8 tips in your daily life. The key is to do something for you so that you feel good. Once you have tried a few of the tips I have suggested, make the ones that worked for you a routine.

Go Back And Live Life Over Again

Can you really go back in time and live life over again?

And this time GET IT RIGHT?

I'll let you decide...

You already know that from the ages of 0 to 5, you were
constantly soaking up information.

Everything - ALL input - was accepted without question. All on
a subconscious level.

Because we lacked the ability to evaluate. Our conscious mind
simply had not yet developed enough to determine "this is
good" and "that is bad".

In this early stage of life, you were being programmed.

The greatest influence, of course, was your mother.

Think back for a second - what do you suppose mom believed about
her feelings?

Did she view them as grand and glorious gifts? Powerful
expressions of her divine nature?

Did she understand how truly VALUABLE it is to develop a
healthy, mature relationship with WHATEVER she was feeling?

I think we both know the answer to those questions...

Now, keep in mind, until the age of about two years old, you
felt whatever mom felt. When she was happy; you were happy.
When she was scared; you were scared. When she was sad; you
were sad.

Your emotional responses formed and shaped themselves
long before you could think about whether or not they were
the ones you wanted. You had no choice in the matter.

Patterns were laid.

Programs were formed.

Neurological pathways of least effort were created in your
brain. Patterns that most likely exist to this very day.

After the age of 5 or 6 - as you learned to reason and think
for yourself - you may have changed some of those patterns.
Perhaps you flipped them around, so now you do the exact
opposite.

But that's simply the other side of the same coin - and
mother's influence lives on in your brain and in your life.

Those first five years are critical to your life TODAY,
for several reasons.

1. At that age, you couldn't evaluate.

Everything was accepted as fact. You didn't get to decide
what to believe and what not to believe. You had no way of
knowing if what you were about to believe was true or not.

You didn't have the ability to question ANYTHING.

For example -

At this young age, you couldn't possibly associate a spanking
with errant behavior.

You could be trained - but no one ever learns and grows in
a positive way from punishment. Especially a small child.

Instead, the pain of punishment became internalized. And you
could easily come to believe love equals pain.

Because, first of all, there will always be some love between
a mother and child. The love always exists.

But so often, there's also pain. Either by direct punishment,
or by indirect means such as withholding affection.

Mother's disapproval comes in many forms.

And that's not to mention the downright fatigue and hormone
changes and mood swings and angry outbursts and all the
other stuff that comes with the VERY difficult task of being
a mother!

It's almost impossible to be loving all the time. No matter
how hard she tried. But that rage she forgot in a few hours
lives on in you today.

You were a blank slate. Soaking up everything like a sponge.
And the most INTENSE feelings created the BIGGEST impact
and the most POWERFUL programs. Programs you may be living
out today and every day of your life.

Age does not diminish them one bit.

This stands as one of many examples of what happens during
those critical early years when you're unable to evaluate
and rationalize what's happening to you.

2. Beliefs build on previous beliefs.

Let's say you believe - as many people do - that love equals
pain. And you formed this belief at an early age - when you
were a blank slate.

It became a foundational belief. A fundamental belief.
Locked in by intense feelings of sadness, hurt, confusion
and perhaps even memories of physical pain.

Now every other belief around love will rest upon that first
belief about love. Plus, every subsequent belief about PAIN
will also rest upon that belief.

So not only will it influence the pain of love - but also
the LOVE of PAIN! Love and pain become intertwined.

Beliefs are stored in the subconscious mind. Your subconscious
seeks CONSISTENCY above all else. It doesn't give you
what you say you want - it gives you whatever is consistent
with the beliefs you ALREADY hold.

Remember, those beliefs you learned about love and pain
were accepted as the Gospel Truth.

Reality follows belief. YOUR reality follows YOUR beliefs.

The more intense the feelings around a particular belief,
the more influence that belief has in your life and the more
likely it will continue to manifest in your reality.

And when you're a small child - EVERYTHING is intense!

Are you beginning to see how much impact those early beliefs
have on your present condition today?

And why it's really not your fault if you're going through a
ton of emotional pain now?

Not only is love painful...

But for so many of us, we're ATTRACTED to pain - in a failed
attempt to feel love.

All because of a faulty belief.

Made by a two-year-old.

Unable to be reasoned away.

Reinforced in concrete by intense pain.

Influencing every single action we take today.

No matter how hard we try, change seems impossible. Because
we're standing on a foundation of "love = pain".

And now it's like trying to plant flowers on barren soil.

"Why can't I grow beautiful roses?"

"Why does my life seem so miserable when I'm trying so hard?"

Because of the foundation that seems rock-solid; written in
stone.

As you think about what I'm saying - as you really let it
in - it's normal to feel a little overwhelmed by just how
serious the problem really is.

I know when it first hit me, I wanted to give up.

"It's hopeless!"

"I can't possibly fight it or change it - so I'm just going
to give up."

And I did - for a very long time. I withdrew. I stopped
trying in so many ways. I quit participating in life.

I over-achieved at under-achieving.

Which only made things worse.

The pain spread - as pain always does when you ignore it.

It's so sad, really. Because I didn't know what to do.

At the time, basically all I knew was I had created beliefs
that severely limited what I could achieve in my life.

I didn't yet know those beliefs could be changed with
relative ease. I thought beliefs anchored themselves in
'concrete'. Untouchable. Unchangeable. Unable to be
overcome.

I didn't yet know where to find my beliefs and how to change
them. I believed changing beliefs was impossible. At least
for me.

And finally, I didn't yet know changing beliefs comes from
following a process - a specific set of steps involving:

(1) removing the old belief

(2) releasing the old emotional energy

(3) inserting a new belief in the 'slot' that the old belief
occupied

(4) anchoring the new belief with ANY feelings I wanted!

For the new belief to 'stick' - it must carefully conform to
certain rules and restrictions. I still don't know exactly
why; I just know it does.

I don't have all the answers. But I do know what WORKS.

I spent years working with the belief changing technique -
making it as foolproof as possible.

Finally, a few months ago, I recorded it onto an audio file.

It takes about thirty minutes to listen to it all the way
through. Which may seem like a long time if you don't truly
understand what a change it can make in your life.

It's like being able to go back into the past and live life
over again. Only this time getting it right.

Because YOU get to CONSCIOUSLY DECIDE what to believe!

It's a way to rewrite the rules your life must follow. You
can change that negative programming that others put
into you.

But don't take my word for it. Get the recording and use it.
It WILL change your life for the better.

I offer it as a free bonus. It comes with the program on
"How To Create Your Own Reality".

1 - Honoring and loving yourself
It is impossible to love and honor yourself if  you are constantly blaming. Blaming means that you don't take responsibility for your life. When this happens you are powerless and engage in negative thinking.
2 -How do I get out of this trap?
I changed my negative self talk.Changing your negative self talk is a great  boost . Give yourself permission to ask for your needs, say no, and see your beauty.

3  -Do not judge other people.
4  -Stop feeling guilty
If want to eat  chocolate  I eat it without guilt. The same if I need a nap, play or just relax and do nothing. Remember that guilt paralyzes you. Even if you were mistaken, assume responsibility and move on.

5  -Don't take personally another person's criticism.
I know that if  I come across to somebody that criticizes me is not about me. Some people to think that they are better than others by putting them down. Start to take criticism as a feedback, and see if you could learn from it.
6 -Exercising helps boost self esteem, your mood, body image and  improve self confidence.
When I exercise I have spent time with myself.

7 -Meditate
I meditate every day. When being in silence  I connect  to myself.  It doesn't matter what meditation you use, the important issue is to be in silence. Meditation will connect you with your  source of self worth and helps to improve self confidence.
8 -Have a sense of humor.
I have a great sense of humor, that’s helps a lot because I won't dwell on self pity. Start feeling  happy. Read the article about constructive humor. Learn to laugh at yourself. People that are unable to laugh at themselves is because of their own insecurities and fears.
Celebrate your success.
Once you have tried a few of the tips I have suggested, make the ones that worked for you a routine.</p>

Low Self Esteem - 7 Tips for Improving Low Self Esteem

Everyone today has the target of improving their low self-esteem. You are either working towards actively or you are subconsciously trying to improve your low self-esteem. The problem that arises here is that you might not understand what exactly you want to improve.

Do you know any certain way by which you can improve your low self-esteem?. Not really. In order to make it easier for you to achieve your goals, here are 7 tips that will help you improve low self-esteem:

1. Stop comparing yourself to other people: Do not ever think that you are lower than the other. When you meet someone, give them a firm handshake. Treat them equally. Look straight into the eye while talking to them. You should compare yourself with yourself only. See what you did yesterday and look at how you did it today. If there is any improvement, feel good about it, reward yourself and celebrate

2. Put yourself first: Remember that you need to give yourself importance in order to be able to make a change. You need to understand what you are doing correctly and what you are not doing correctly. People will only respect you if you respect yourself and thus, you need to give yourself importance. Put your needs and desires first.

3. Talk positively about yourself.  Make announcements of your achievements.   Feel pride in whatever you do and be confident about it.  Do what you love and tell everyone about it. But make sure that you don't get overconfident and don't start boasting.

4. Accept compliments: It sometimes is difficult to accept a compliment and not always think that it is ridiculous.  People with low self-esteem find hard to accept compliments.  Everyone has an opinion and you should respect it even if you do not agree with it.  You should also think good about yourself if others do.  When somebody gives you a compliment just say thank you.

5. Surround yourself with positive and supportive people: You should keep yourself surrounded with positive people who support you.  Bitching and complaining may seem fun at times but over a period of time, you may become one of them.  People who bitch and complain very often are never happy.  You will feel happier with positive people around you and they will also give you positive energies. They will improve your self-esteem by supporting you when you are feeling low.

6. Acknowledge your positive qualities: Each one has some positive qualities.  Everyone has talents and is good at something.  Understand what you are good at and encourage yourself to do that often. Exercise your talent and make it stronger. If you adore a certain part of your body, give it more attention than all the others. For example, if you love your eyes, look directly into your eyes when you see yourself in the mirror.

7. Involve yourself in activities that you love: There is something for sure that you love doing.  Keep yourself busy in what you love doing and improve the way you feel about yourself. This will surely help you improve low self-esteem.
