When You Fail Do You Give Up Easily?

When you fail to get what you want in a short period of time, do you throw up your hands immediately and move on to something else?  In other words do you give up easily?

You have to refuse to give up, and you'll attain victory.  The obstacles you experience on the road to success either lead to ultimate failure or serve as a stepping-stone to your victory.

Roadblocks and obstacles are a part of life. They can wreck your quest for success if you let them, but their objective is to make you stronger.  They test your determination and will power so you can see what you're made of. They show you how bad you want the goal you're seeking. They serve as a learning experience and show you when a change of strategy is necessary. And, they help you savor with delight the sweet victory at the end.

When you learn from your errors, you see the value in them. The more errors you make, the faster you'll reach your objective.   Errors serve as corrections for your progress and keep you on the right track to your destiny. So don't give up on your dreams and keep the momentum going!

How to Keep Yourself Motivated

Motivation is the encouragement that maintains your objectives in focus in order to achieve your dreams.

Here are some awesome strategies to keep you motivated:

·         Maintain a diary or journal of your achievements and how you overcame obstacles.and setbacks.
·         Remind yourself of where you started and how far you've come since you started you journey.
·         Spend time with optimistic, motivated people who energize and inspire you.
·         Don't look back.  Keep moving forward, even if you stumble or become discouraged.
·         Don't give up on your dreams and keep telling yourself you WILL achieve them.

Choose What is Really Important in Your Life

Staying motivated is for the most part a matter of choice. If you're determined and focused  on doing well and staying on course, you'll have a much better chance of achieving your goals. Don't get sidetracked and keep reminding yourself of your goals and what you've managed to do so far.  This an awesome way of keeping yourself interested in where you're going. That makes you want to continue instead of giving up or getting discouraged.

No matter what you want to do, you can accomplish it. No matter what obstacles you face, you can relentlessly power through them or find ways around them. Your will power and determination are more crucial than your skill. When you make up your mind to accomplish something crucial and pursue it with all of your heart, you can achieve anything - the sky is the limit.

When your attitude is positive, determined and focused, you'll be destined for success. Success is the only option when you have the right attitude.  Roadblocks are only failures if you choose to give up and walk away.  You have to visualize the success you're working to attain and keep marching towards it.  You have to be unstoppable.

When you find a way around, over or through your obstacles and setbacks, you'll discover a renewed confidence, will power and determination that will embolden your journey to the fulfillment of your destiny. The success you so intensely desire is within your grasp.  The obstacles you encounter in pursuit of your dream serve to make you stronger and unstoppable in your journey to achieve victory.

Pitball's Inspiring Story of Success and Not Giving Up

DYLAN AND JOSH AT BAYSIDE MARKET PLACE

I am the mother of two boys.  I have a 12 year old and 9 year old.  Since I am a single parent it can extremely challenging dealing with my boys and keeping them focused.  My youngest is extremely bright but he thinks he knows everything and last year he was getting in trouble in school constantly.  My older son is mildly Autistic and was always very well behaved but now that he is going to puberty he has become extremely stubborn.

To deal with their hyperactive and stubborn personalities, I enrolled both of my kids in after school sports.  I also thought it was a good idea so they would have social interaction with other kids and wouldn't be glued to their PlayStation 3 24/7.

They have been in karate and tennis for about three years.  But when they first started, they did not want to even make an attempt at following instructions, listening,  hitting the ball, running to get to the ball etc.   I always stressed to both that they needed to try and not give up.   I told them that they should never give up because nothing in life is easy and that they will always face failure during their life. But that THEY needed to try over and over to the achieved their goalS.

Since they both love Rapper Pitball's music, I emphasized the fact about his music's upbeat lyrics.  If you  listen to the lyrics of his music, you'll find he is always stressing that he came from the wrong side of tracks and accomplished super stardom and success.   (I love his music too! AND I am old school I don't like many rappers).  Pitball is always rapping about not giving up and achieving success.  I also told them about his story.  Pitball was a poor kid raised by a single parent but his persaverence determination and will to succeed made him a Super Star known worldwide.  Today Pitball's net worth is approximately 10 million dollars.

As he says in his songs he went from Mr. 305 to Mr. World Wide.

Here is his story:

Armando Christion Perez aka "PITBALL"

Pitbull is a professional rapper and extremely popular and famous today.  He has featured many music tracks with countless of the hottest artists in the United States, has many endorsements with major companies like Budweiser and Walmart as well as a net worth according to Forbes of 10 million dollars.   Before he was "Pitbull",  Armando Christian Pérez, went through hell to get to where he is now.

Pitbull was born to Cuban parents on January 15,1981 in Miani, Florida. His parents divorced when he was very young and he was raised by a single mom.

During high school, at the age of 16, he was kicked out of his house by his mother because he was dealing drugs and he spent his sometime with a foster family in Roswell, Georgia. His father had also dealt drugs when he was younger.

Pitbull began rapping at a very young age, and was influenced by Nas, Notorious B.I.G. and Big Pun. After graduating from Coral Park High School, he decided not to continue on to college. But instead, he focused on his rapping career. In 2002, he got his big break when he was tapped as a featured guest in Lil Jon and East Side Boyz' album "Kings of Crunk". The next year, he scored music called "Oye" which was featured in the movie "2 Fast 2 Furious".

Pitbull released his debut album "M.I.A.M.I." under TVT Records in 2004. The title of the record is an acronym for Money Is a Major Issue. He reached number 14 on Billboard Hot 200 due to having Fat Joe, Trick Daddy and Lil Jon as collaborators, Singles from the effort included "Culo" and "Toma".

After the success of "M.I.A.M.I", Pitbull became the most-wanted collaborator for other Hip-Hop artists.  He was signed to join Anger Management Tour which was headlined by Eminem and 50 Cent.   And he also lent his vocal to many singles from big stars like Ying Yang Twins, Twista and Wyclef Jean.

Then two years after  his first album, Pitbull came out with his sophomore set "El Mariel". The title of the album referred to the boat that transported Cuban refugees to Florida in the movie "Scarface". He dedicated this record to his father, who died that year in May. With this studio project, he reached number 2 on Billboard Hot Rap Albums chart and at number 1 on Independent chart. And in Billboard Hot 200, he climbed to number 17.

Pitbull's third studio effort "The Boatlift" was released in 2007. And even though it included countless well known contributors such as Trina, Jim Jones and Lloyd, this album failed to rank on the top 20 of Billboard Hot 200. It only debuted at number 50 on the chart, selling 22,203 copies in its first week, far below expectations. In its second week, it added 9,686 copies and dropped to number 134 on the chart.

On August 31 2009, Pitbull returned with "Rebelution". Two of its singles reached top
10 on Billboard Hot 100. "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" secured the second spot, while "Hotel Room Service" peaked at number 9 on the U.S. singles chart. Another track titled "Blanco" was featured in film "Fast and Furious".

Pitbull's Cuban background and upbringing in Miami influenced his music immensely.  These two factors allowed him to be at the forefront of many coinciding styles and demographics: the Latin audience (as well as the hip-hop audience, and the vast variety of club music for which Miami is a hub.  He stated  "I grew up around salsa, merengue, bachata, bass music, freestyle, hip-hop, techno, house, rave," and "Miami is special for that. It's a city where you don't know if it's more a part of the US, or of the Caribbean, or of Latin America, or of Europe."

2011–present: Planet Pit and Global Warming

  • Pitbull performing in 2011 Pitbull released his highly anticipated follow-up English album, Planet Pit, on June 21, 2011. The album sold 492,175 copies within the first 48 hours of sale. Pitbull collaborated with T-Pain on its first single, "Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)". Pitbull has also collaborated with Jennifer Lopez on her single "On the Floor".

  • On March 22, 2011, Pitbull released his second single, "Give Me Everything" featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, and three months later, the song became Pitbull's first single to top the Billboard Hot 100.

  • On May 2, 2011, Pitbull and Mýa appeared on WWE Raw to celebrate The Rock's birthday.Pitbull appeared as musical guest on Conan on August 1, 2011.

  •  On August 22, 2011, Lindsay Lohan sued Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack in response to "Give Me Everything"'s lyrics referencing her name.

  • On November 19, 2012. It was also announced that the lead single from the album will be titled "Get It Started" featuring singer Shakira.

  • Regarding the title of the album, Pitbull explained that it reflects the fact that, much like the phenomenon of global warming, he's been around for a while but all of a sudden, people are paying attention

  • Pitbull was attached to the Men in Black 3 soundtrack, releasing the song "Back in Time", which samples "Love Is Strange" by Mickey & Sylvia. The third single was Feel This Moment featuring American singer-songwriter Christina María Aguillera.

  • Pitbull started his new world tour in June 2012.

Last but not least how did he come up with his stage name PITBALL?

In his own words, Pitbull explained the reason behind  selecting his stage name, saying about the dog, "they bite to lock. The dog is too stupid to lose. And they're outlawed in Dade County. They're basically everything that I am. It's been a constant fight."

Conclusion:

I selected to highlight his story because it's extremely inspiring and it's an awesome example about not giving up.  He came from a poor and dysfunctional family but he refused to blame his dad, mom or society.   An instead he chose  to pursue his dreams relentlessly.  Failures were a learning experiences rather than the end of the world.

According to Pitbull, he chose the stage name "Pitbull" because of the breeds tenacity - because when a Pitball bites it won't let go.  And Armando Christian Perez was not going to let go of his dream to achieve success and become a huge star.  He stated that he has been a Pitbull his entire life  and that his life had been a constant struggle.  And rather than giving up he kept on fighting.

Many kids with his background would have ended up in jail or dead.

Ms. Susan Boyle: An Inspiring Story

Susan Boyle - Britains Got Talent 2009 Episode 1 - Saturday 11th April |

http://youtu.be/RxPZh4AnWyk

I wanted to share this great article about the amazing and inspiring story of Susan Boye, a 47 year old unemployed, never married woman from Scotland who won Britain's Got Talent Competition.  Susan Boyle is awesome example of dreaming and believing in your dreams and not putting an age limit on your dreams and goals. And most importantly never, never giving up on your dreams of success.

Many times people give up after enduring countless failures, rejections, and frustrations in their quest to achieve their dreams of success. Susan Boyle's achievement can serve to validate, inspire and strengthen anyone that has patiently suffered through numerous hardships and setbacks in their pursuit of fortune and achievement.

Ms. Susan Boyle: An Inspiring Story

By Amy Twain

By the time you read this, you probably heard of the inspiring life story of Susan Boyle. A 47-year old, unemployed, never been married (and never been kissed) woman from Scotland who elicited lots of praises and compliments not just from the three judges, but also from millions of people across the universe, thanks to Youtube.

Her inspiring story spread rapidly like wildfire and inspires others (especially underdogs and dark horses like her) to reach for your dreams no matter what. The Britain's Got Talent contestant (by far the most popular these days), delivered a strong performance backed up with an even appropriate and inspirational song,  I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables. I like watching that show, in the sense that Britain's Got Talent is indeed about talent. It's about talent through and through, despite your looks, and your age. And what I even like most about the inspiring story of Ms. Susan Boyle is that it's as if she's the epitome of dreaming and believing in your dreams and not putting an age limit to your dreams and goals.

What makes this inspiring story so appealing to the masses, is the fact that we have a not-so-young dreamer dreaming to be a professional singer (wants to be as successful as Elaine Page at that!), when generally, dreaming is associated for the young and their promising future. But here, we have Susan Boyle to change the face of dreaming big and giving us her inspiring story.

Truly, she's not just a living example, but also a living inspiration as well! I know of other singing competitions that imposed age limits on their contestants. It's good that Britain's Got Talent never limits their contestants for a certain age bracket only. Why this allure about second chances and underdogs and dark horses? And why not it just goes to show that all of us, at some moments in our lives, can relate to being underdogs, since we experienced what it feels like being an underdog
selves.

We want to be inspired and strengthened after failure, rejection, and frustration. An inspiring story like Susan Boyle's is just one strong validation and we felt justified that we can be like her. She's also a real person (and not just any fictitious character) and she's like one of us, living an ordinary life but who wants to have a better life.

So, how who can resist this inspiring story? As we live our day to day struggle in our lives, we all need some bits of inspiration to make us smile, enlightened, hopeful and optimistic for our future. And we don't need pretty faces, toned muscles, almost-perfect hair that light up our TV screens to make us inspired.

On the contrary, it's those flawed, ordinary-looking individuals which we can relate to that make us more humane and we can say," If she can do it, I can too". And I love that smiling aura of Ms. Boyle devoid of any arrogance or self-pity (unemployed, but still looking) when asked what she's going to do onstage.

She said, "I'm gonna wow the audience". And boy, she did more than just that's she even received a standing ovation not just from the crowd, but also from the two judges. Everybody's got an inspiring story---what's yours?

Motivation - The Heart Of Self Improvement

Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Failing a test make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our need to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the push to speak up and fight for ourselves to save face from the next embarrassment. It may be a bitter experience, a friend's tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.

With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Try these tips:

A - Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

B - Believe in yourself, and in what you can do.

C - Consider things from every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.

D - Don't give up and don't give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, thousands of times before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation your steering wheel.

E - Enjoy. Work as if you don't need money. Dance as if nobody's watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you'll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.

F - Family and Friends - are life's greatest 'F' treasures. Don't lose sight of them.

G - Give more than is enough. Where does motivation and self improvement take place at work? At home? At school? When you expert extra effort in doing things.

H - Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.

I - Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don't let other people to get the best of you. Stay away from toxic people - the kind of friends who hate to hear about your success.

J - Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself. And the key to failure is to try to please everyone.

K - keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. When a person is motivated, eventually he sees a harsh life finally clearing out, paving the way to self improvement.

L - Learn to love yourself. Now isn't that easy?

M - Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.

N - Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.

O - Open your eyes. People should learn good sense. They see things in 2 ways - how they want things to be, and how they should be.

P - Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn ways we can recover from our mistakes.

Q - Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate - are you going to be a quitter? Or a winner?

R - Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, it wasn't raining when Noah build the ark.

S - Stop procrastinating.

T - Take control of your life. Discipline or self control jibes synonymously with motivation. Both are key factors in self improvement.

U - Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.

V - Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W - Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing. And to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self improvement.

X - X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on "extras" on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.

Y - You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because you're just going to have it once.

Z - Zero in on your dreams and go for it!

How to Be Open-Minded to New Ideas

If you have definite ideas about how things are or how they should be, you’ve probably had someone tell you to “keep an open mind.” Having an open mind is important to succeed in life.
Embracing, or at least considering, new ideas and technologies is vital to our personal growth.

Are you willing to consider someone else’s opinion? Can you look at facts that may seem suspect and analyze them without bias? If you’re open-minded, you can be flexible when met with new ideas. It means you can adapt to new experiences.

Being able to think critically is a vital component of being open-minded. In our quickly changing technological world, it’s important to keep an open mind in order to keep up and stay current, rather than missing out on all the new things around us.

It’s also important to be willing to change your views when you’re given new facts. This could prove crucial depending on your chosen profession. For example, as a police officer or lawyer, being willing to see things from a different perspective could help you achieve greater successes.

Here are some ways to learn how to be open-minded to new ideas:

1.      Decide now that you don’t have to be right all the time. While it’s not unusual for some people to be obsessed with being right, it’s not something that’s looked favorably upon. No one can be right all the time, not even you!

  • Try to be relaxed when discussing new ideas rather than having a knee-jerk reaction to be right.

2.      Recognize that there are many reasons why people have certain beliefs. They may be from a different country or have different life experiences that have shaped those beliefs. Someone born at an earlier time would also see things differently than you.

3.      Learn to listen carefully. Rather than jumping in with your opinion, let the other person finish speaking. Then use active, or reflective, listening to understand and clarify their ideas:

  • Repeat back to them what you understood. Respectfully ask questions when you don’t understand or agree with their standpoint.

4.      Look at things from a different perspective. Before deciding that a new idea doesn’t have merit, consider doing some research to understand the concept better. Consider the way the other person explained the idea and see if it makes more sense after you’ve researched it.

5.      “Walk a mile” in someone else’s shoes. Spend some time volunteering in your community. This will allow you to see things from a different perspective and with certain limitations.

6.      Take time to try something new. There’s no better way to open your mind to new ideas than to attempt a new task. Learning new skills or taking up a new hobby can open your mind in ways that nothing else will. Give it a try; you may be pleasantly surprised!

It’s true that being open-minded can be an advantage in many aspects of life, however, don’t be too quick to become open-minded about everything. There may be some deeply held beliefs that you don’t want to leave by the wayside in order to embrace openness. That’s okay!

While you’re learning to be open-minded to new ideas, remember that it’s fine and good to hold onto some beliefs and stand up for what you believe in.

Just because an idea is new to you doesn’t mean you must agree with it in order to be open-minded. Having an open mind will strengthen your skills to evaluate new ideas intelligently and choose truth in your life.

10 Tips to Boost Your Self-Confidence

If you lack confidence it can affect every aspect of your life, from your job performance to your personal relationships.  The truth is that how you perceive yourself has an enormous impact on how others treat you.

Some elements in boosting self-confidence may be beyond your control, but there are some very tangible things that you can do as well. Using these tips will help you reach your full potential as a successful and confident person.

1.  Dress confidently. . When you look good, you'll feel good. Now, this doesn't mean
that you have to go out and spend a your life savings on clothes. It's better to buy a few real nice pieces than a ton of cheap ones.   Dress like the person you choose to be and you'll feel yourself become that person.

2.  Walk faster. If you walk fast and quicken your step, it will help you feel more confident.  People who walk fast and keep a brisk pace because they havethings to do and places to be.

3.   Maintain good posture.  If you have slump your shoulders and cannot look people in the eye, you'll leave a negative impression.  Keep your head up, make eye contact with others, and stand up straight and tall. People can tell a lot about you by the way you carry yourself.

4.  Be grateful. Gratitude creates a state of peace in the body. A peaceful mind radiates confidence. Make a list of the things you appreciate about yourself and be grateful for your past successes. Tell those you love how much you appreciate them being in your life.

5.   Compliment others.  . If you think about yourself in a negative manner then you'll tend to criticize others frequently. Break this habit by praising others on a daily basis. Seeing the best in others will bring out the best in you. In addition to showing appreciation for what you have, it's also critical to show others your appreciation.

6.   Give back. Contribute to the success of others because it will help you feel better
about yourself and karma will reward you in the end.  Don’t forget that what goes around comes`1s around, right? Volunteer your time to help those in need or make a monetary contribution to your favorite local charity.

7.   Don't be afraid to speak up. Many people keep quiet for fear of saying something
silly. Taking an active role in discussions will distinguish you as a leader amongst your
peers. They will quickly recognize that you have confidence and plenty to offer.

8.   Exercise regularly. A healthy and great physical image will boost your self- confidence immensely.  If you work hard to create a better physical image, you'll not only be healthier, but you'll also have more energy. Both of these assets will also help receive more compliments which will also boost yourself esteem.

9.   Sit in the front row. Confident people sit up front where they can participate in discussions without fear.  Most of us have a tendency to try to hide in the back of the room somewhere. We don't like being noticed because of low self-esteem.

10.  Try something new. Learning a new hobby, sport or activity will increase your horizons and help you feel alive. Anytime you spend stretching your mind improves your overall self-esteem and confidence.

The more self-confidence you build in yourself, the more likely you'll be to succeed. It does not matter what task you select to overcome, if you do it with enthusiasm. Any setbacks you face won't affectyou because you'll have the confidence required to continue.

Those who are insecure often find life to be a struggle, but with self-confidence, you can
find  out life can be wonderful.   Why suffer when you can soar!

Creative Visualization and Letting Go

Almost every writer about creative visualization advises to visualize for only a few minutes, preferably several times a day, and then to let go, and forget your mental image until the next time. They say that of you don't do so, what you visualize will not materialize.

What is the rationale behind this idea? Why not visualize for half an hour or whenever you have the time? Isn't it more reasonable to believe that more time devoted to visualization will bring faster results?

If you are able to concentrate easily, and to hold away unwanted thoughts, for as long as you wish, then it is okay if you visualize for longer periods. The fact is that most people do not have control over their minds. They cannot hold their minds on one single thought more than a few moments, before other thoughts come. If they think about a particular goal, soon contradictory thoughts pop up, and negative thoughts start storming the mind, neutralizing any previous positive thoughts.

Most people have doubts and little faith, when thinking about goals and ambitions. Their minds are inclined to negative thinking and worrying. After a little time of positive visualization, doubts and lack of belief rise and sabotage their efforts. Impatience also rises, because they find it difficult to focus their minds on one thought.

All this means that if you focus your mind on a certain goal for too long, at a certain point you will unconsciously begin to repel and push it away, and consequently accomplish nothing.

Your predominant thoughts and mental attitude rule and interfere with whatever you think about. You may be able to disregard them and think positively for a few minutes, but after a little while they win. This is why it is advisable to start with short periods of visualizing your goals, until you gradually change your mental attitude. If you are able, through various methods, to adopt a predominant positive attitude, and also develop patience and the ability to concentrate, then you will be able to visualize effectively for longer periods.

There is another reason why it is advised not to constantly think about your goal. By freeing your conscious mind from excessive thinking, you make it easier for information, intuition, ideas, inspiration and motivation to pass from the subconscious mind to the conscious mind. This also enables the conscious mind to be more aware of any opportunity that pops up, and allows your subconscious mind to motivate you to take action, and to make the necessary effort to achieve your goals.

It is important to add that if your desire is really strong, you will carry it in the back of your head, even if you don't consciously think about it.

(Source: American Psychiatric Association. Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-IV-TR) 2000 Washington, DC.)

…then you’ve experienced firsthand some of the possible symptoms of a panic or anxiety attack. If you are reading this page because a loved one suffers from these symptoms and you are trying to understand or help, it’s hard to appreciate what they go through.

Just try to imagine what it feels like to experience one, if you can.

Here is a typical example:

Standing in a supermarket queue, it’s been a long wait but only one customer to go before you make it to the cashier. Wait, what was that sensation? An unpleasant feeling forms in your throat, your chest feels tighter, now a sudden shortness of breath, and what do you know—your heart skips a beat. “Please, God, not here.”

A quick scan of the territory—is it threatening? Four unfriendly faces queue behind, one person in front. Pins and needles seem to prick you through your left arm, you feel slightly dizzy, and then the explosion of fear as you dread the worst. You are about to have a panic attack.

There is no doubt in your mind now that this is going to be a big one. Okay, focus: Remember what you have been taught, and it is time now to apply the coping techniques. Begin the deep breathing exercise your doctor recommended. In through the nose, out through the mouth.

Think relaxing thoughts, and again, while breathing in, think “Relax,” and then breathe out. But it doesn’t seem to be having any positive effect; in fact, just concentrating on breathing is making you feel self-conscious and more uptight.

Okay, coping technique 2:

Gradual muscle relaxation. Tense both shoulders, hold for 10 seconds, then release. Try it again. No; still no difference. The anxiety is getting worse and the very fact that you are out of coping techniques worsens your panic. If only you were surrounded by your family, or a close friend were beside you so you could feel more confident in dealing with this situation.

Now, the adrenaline is really pumping through your system, your body is tingling with uncomfortable sensations, and now the dreaded feeling of losing complete control engulfs your emotions. No one around you has any idea of the sheer terror you are experiencing. For them, it’s just a regular day and another frustratingly slow queue in the supermarket.

You are out of options. Time for Plan C.

The most basic coping skill of all is “fleeing.” Excuse yourself from the queue; you are slightly embarrassed as it is now that it is your turn to pay. The cashier is looking bewildered as you leave your shopping behind and stroll towards the door. There is no time for excuses—you need to be alone. You leave the supermarket and get into your car to ride it out alone. Could this be the big one? The one you fear will push you over the edge mentally and physically. Ten minutes later the panic subsides.

It’s 10:30 a.m. How are you going to make it through the rest of the day?

If you suffer from panic or anxiety attacks, the above scenerio probably sounds very familiar. It may have even induced feelings of anxiety and panic just reading it. The particular situations that trigger your panic and anxiety may differ; maybe the bodily sensations are a little different. Or maybe it happened to you for the first time on a plane, in the dentist chair, or even at home, while doing nothing in particular.

If you have ever had what has become known as a “panic attack,” take comfort in the fact that you are by no means alone.

A panic attack always comes with the acute sense of impending doom. You feel you are either about to lose your mind or one of your vital bodily functions is about to cease functioning and you will end your days right there among the canned goods and frozen food.

You are by no means alone; you’re not even one in a million. In America, it is estimated that almost 5% of the population suffer from some form of anxiety disorder. For some, it may be the infrequent panic attacks that only crop up in particular situations-like when having to speak in front of others, while, for other people, it can be so frequent and recurring that it inhibits them from leaving their home. Frequent panic attacks often develop into what medical physicians refer to as an “anxiety disorder.”

One of the first steps to regaining control of your life is getting helpful information. This site will give you that, and more.

The beginning of your recovery starts here. What you will learn is that there is a very good chance you are about to end the cycle of panic attacks in your life. You will learn not only to regain the carefree life you remember once having, but will also gain new confidence in living. Your answer to living free from “panic” or “anxiety attacks” is at hand.

This site demonstrates that the panic and anxiety that you have experienced will be the very key to your courage and success.

Begin the road to recovery by browsing through the site. While many of you may have read almost everything you can possibly read relating to panic and anxiety I assure you this site offers something very effective.

Did you know…?

The key difference between someone who is cured of panic attacks and those who are not is really very simple. The people who are cured no longer fear panic attacks. I’ll try to show you how to be one of these people as well.

What if I told you the trick to ending panic and anxiety attacks is to want to have one. That sounds strange, even contradictory, but let me explain.

The trick to panic attacks is wanting to have one-the wanting pushes it away. Can you have a panic attack in this very second? No!

You know the saying that “what you resist, persists.” Well that saying applies perfectly to fear. If you resist a situation out of fear, the fear around that issue will persist. How do you stop resisting–you move directly into it, into the path of the anxiety, and by doing so it cannot persist.

In essence what this means is that if you daily voluntarily seek to have a panic attack, you cannot have one. Try in this very moment to have a panic attack and I will guarantee you cannot. You may not realize it but you have always decided to panic. You make the choice by saying this is beyond my control.

Another way to appreciate this is to imagine having a panic attack as like standing on a cliff’s edge. The anxiety seemingly pushes you closer to falling over the edge.

To be rid of the fear you must metaphorically jump. You must jump off the cliff edge and into the anxiety and fear and all the things that you fear most.

How do you jump? You jump by wanting to have a panic attack. You go about your day asking for anxiety and panic attacks to appear.

Your real safety is the fact that a panic attack will never harm you. That is medical fact. You are safe, the sensations are wild but no harm will come to you. Your heart is racing but no harm will come to you. The jump becomes nothing more than a two foot drop! Perfectly safe.

Exhaustion and Anxiety

B 300x250 Graphics

Why do some people have a problem with anxiety and others do not?

This is a question almost everyone who experiences anxiety asks themselves at some point or another. Why me?

My understanding of anxiety is that yes, some people seem more susceptible than others but that the key trigger tends to be exhaustion. By exhaustion I mean mental, physical, or emotional exhaustion. (Under physical exhaustion I also include things like diet or substance abuse).

For some it may be exhaustion caused by a hectic life and never taking time to release the stress. People like that often do not notice their stress levels are so high until they get blindsided by a spontaneous panic attack.

For others it may be an emotional exhaustion caused by the loss of a loved one or the break up of a long term relationship.

If the anxiety is caused by a traumatic life event it is interesting to note that the person frequently does not experience the anxiety until the event has passed.

You often see people dealing very well with a crisis but then several weeks later when the dust has settled they start to feel the anxiety. It is like they have been in shock and are only now starting to process the experience.

The most important thing to remember about panic attacks or general anxiety is that help is available and it is important to get help sooner rather than later.

I always recommend visiting your doctor first of all to really determine that it is just anxiety you are dealing with and not an underlying physical ailment. Once you are sure that it is anxiety that you dealing with, treat it.

Don’t wait.

Burying your head in the sand hoping it will simply be gone next week is not an effective way to treat it. It is totally unnecessary to spend months if not years dealing with something that can be corrected now.

That help is available right here.

The Panic Away Program changes the way you process your anxiety enabling you to end panic attacks and general anxiety. It costs no more than a dinner for two but can change your life so much for the better. Invest in the right kind of information. Information that puts you back in control of your life. That is the best kind of investment you can make.

What is the Key to Success? Perseverance and Positive Thinking!

iqoncept / 123RF Stock Photo

Achieving your goals is hardly ever an easy journey. If it were easy, we'd all already be there. One of the keys to success is, without a doubt, perseverance. With improved perseverance you'll have that extra push from within to try, try again.

Humans have the tendency to want to control everything. Since there are always events in our lieft  that can't be controlled, suffering occurs.  Regrettably, this suffering can't be avoided.  It is impossible to avoid making mistakes at all costs.  And wanting to control every aspect of your life.  Instead your goal should be to strengthen your perseverance by effectively managing with the situation when things go wrong.

Keep these tips in mind as you strengthen your perseverance:

Never Give Up. When you have an ultimate goal, you owe it to yourself to achieve it. There are going to be plenty of bumps in the road. Don't let any of these bumps defeat you.. Always be looking for new options to handle unforeseen problems.

Use  the power of positive thinking. When things quickly become overwhelmingly or unbearable, try to seek the positive and highlight the positive things in your life. You might want to be close yourself with loved ones or watch inspiring movies with positive themes. You definitely look for situations that'll promote your optimism and enthusiasm.

Take Action and Responsibility. Do whatever you can to inspire yourself to make powerful choices or actions toward your objectives. Fight the urge to procrastinate or conform. Thinking about your objectivess just not enough; you need to start somewhere in order to get yourself there. You can't wait for some sign or higher power to get you to where you want to go, you must be willing to take action!

Get Help If You Need It. Be wise enough to know when a situation requires help from others. You don't need to handle every problem by yourseld. Instead, choose to follow advice from the people you trust or the professional in your particular field. Simply ask them how they've maintained the drive and optimism to keep going.

Know Your True Self. Knowing yourself and having organized thoughts can improve your perseverance. When you know where you're going and the steps you need to take to get there, that's half the battle. That's why you need to take the proper amount of time for self-reflection. Know the true ins and outs of what you want and exactly why you want it.

Stop Bad Behavior. Do everything in your power to put a stop to bad habits. If there are certain behaviors you've know won't let you achieve your goals, you must stop them NOW.   And  can simply be negative thinking or your tendency to leave everything for tomorrow.  If you concentrate on each bad habit individually, you'll be be able to significantly accomplish your goals and overcome your obstacles.  And you will also be able to effectively deal with the problems that might exist.

Focus on Stress Management. Stress management and your level of perseverance are definitely interwined. When stress is unbearable,  it clouds your current thinking and dampens your positive thinking.. Your perseverance can't blossom in a negative environment. First you need to overcome any issues you have with stress so you'll be able to effortlessly obtain your goals .
Step By Step

Perseverance is most likely a part of your life. You just need concentrate on enhancing that power characteristic . It all related to the power of positive thinking. When you think you can, you will. When you think you can't, you won't.

Transform your life!
Just use your PC

Subliminal Affirmations

I know how to unleash the power behind my dreams.

Dreams have power. My dreams are important to me. They show me what I have and what I desire for my future.

To make my future into what I want it to be, I must follow my dreams. Each day I dream and work to make those dreams come true. Dreams are valuable in helping me to shape my future.

Each dream is separate, yet they are all connected. When I follow my dreams, I am happy. I radiate joy and love. People around me want this joy for themselves so I help them discover the power to make dreams come true. I like to help people and I want to see them happy. I bring great joy to others and myself.

I am brave and strong. I have the power to make things happen in my life. When I dream, I see the potential it has to change my future. I think about my dreams and I determine what I need to do in order to make them into reality. When I see my dreams as reality, I start working toward them more clearly. I avoid giving up on my dreams.

Every dream has value. I make my life into what I want through the power of my dreams, goals, and desires. My life is happy, fulfilled, and joyful. I change and adjust my life according to what I need and want. I am pleased with the direction my life is taking.

Today, I unleash my power to make my dreams come true.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What can I do to help dreams come true for others?
2. How can I move more boldly toward the fulfillment of my dreams?
3. Are there ways in which I can unleash more of my power?

Self-confidence is an important key to success in any walk of life. People with self-confidence are noticed more. They achieve their goals relatively easily. In contrast, people who lack self-confidence often end up being losers. You too need to build your self-confidence if you want to do well in life. Here are ten tips that can help you build that elusive self-confidence:

1. Self-confidence is found in people who have healthy self-esteem. They know their personal worth and act accordingly. A good way to improve your personal worth is to make a list of your accomplishments every day. You will be surprised to know how many positive acts you perform every day in life, but which you don't notice. Once you start looking at this list, your self-confidence will boom.

2. Be clear about your goals. If need be, break your goals into smaller, more manageable tasks. Pat yourself every time you achieve a minor goal. It will boost you're a self-confidence, and help you achieve bigger goals.

3. Find a mentor who can help you reach your goal. Most people, who have done well in life, have a mentor who has traveled the same road on which they are traveling today. Meet your mentor regularly, and seek his advice and support as a routine. You will find that you are learning something valuable every day.

4. Socialize with people who are positive and supportive, who like and respect you. Give them the same support and respect that they give you. Avoid people who are negative and critical of you. Such people erode your self-confidence. They make you look at your negative self, and not your positive self. After some time, you get enveloped in their cynical and negative world-view. Nothing can be more damaging than that. Dump such friends as soon as you can.

5. Pay attention to how you look. Take pleasure in wearing good clothes and being well groomed. It makes you feel good. People too look at you differently. Remember that every human being wants to be found in the company of smart, intelligent, successful people. You can soon be a centre of attraction if you radiate a positive, smart look. It can very easily make the difference between success and failure.

6. Don't be afraid of failures. Take them in your stride and move on. Say to yourself that you will succeed the next time. Never make the mistake of allowing your failures to overwhelm you. They will force you into a shell, and destroy your self-confidence. A better way is to shrug your failures as something inconsequential, and take on a new challenge. Of course, you must learn from your mistakes, and be realistic about your abilities. People who try to over-reach often fall down. You should not allow that to happen in the name of self-confidence.

7. Keep yourself fit by exercising regularly and controlling your diet. A fit and healthy person is much more active and achieves more in his career. Physical fitness, like self-confidence, glows on your face.

8. Have a wide range of interests, and take an active interest in what's going on in the world. Meet and talk to a lot of people. Don't focus all your attention only on your work and on your problems. Divert your attention to new interests, and new tasks. This will keep your mind happily occupied, and boost your self-confidence.

9. Take part in activities that you are good at. You may have excelled at things in the past and then given them up due to lack of time. Return to those activities again and see your self-confidence grow.

10. Pick up a new hobby or craft that interests you. It will keep you occupied. It will also increase your self- confidence as you become more skilled in it.

Try to practice these tips as faithfully as you can, and see the difference in your life.
