When You Fail Do You Give Up Easily?

When you fail to get what you want in a short period of time, do you throw up your hands immediately and move on to something else?  In other words do you give up easily?

You have to refuse to give up, and you'll attain victory.  The obstacles you experience on the road to success either lead to ultimate failure or serve as a stepping-stone to your victory.

Roadblocks and obstacles are a part of life. They can wreck your quest for success if you let them, but their objective is to make you stronger.  They test your determination and will power so you can see what you're made of. They show you how bad you want the goal you're seeking. They serve as a learning experience and show you when a change of strategy is necessary. And, they help you savor with delight the sweet victory at the end.

When you learn from your errors, you see the value in them. The more errors you make, the faster you'll reach your objective.   Errors serve as corrections for your progress and keep you on the right track to your destiny. So don't give up on your dreams and keep the momentum going!

How to Keep Yourself Motivated

Motivation is the encouragement that maintains your objectives in focus in order to achieve your dreams.

Here are some awesome strategies to keep you motivated:

·         Maintain a diary or journal of your achievements and how you overcame obstacles.and setbacks.
·         Remind yourself of where you started and how far you've come since you started you journey.
·         Spend time with optimistic, motivated people who energize and inspire you.
·         Don't look back.  Keep moving forward, even if you stumble or become discouraged.
·         Don't give up on your dreams and keep telling yourself you WILL achieve them.

Choose What is Really Important in Your Life

Staying motivated is for the most part a matter of choice. If you're determined and focused  on doing well and staying on course, you'll have a much better chance of achieving your goals. Don't get sidetracked and keep reminding yourself of your goals and what you've managed to do so far.  This an awesome way of keeping yourself interested in where you're going. That makes you want to continue instead of giving up or getting discouraged.

No matter what you want to do, you can accomplish it. No matter what obstacles you face, you can relentlessly power through them or find ways around them. Your will power and determination are more crucial than your skill. When you make up your mind to accomplish something crucial and pursue it with all of your heart, you can achieve anything - the sky is the limit.

When your attitude is positive, determined and focused, you'll be destined for success. Success is the only option when you have the right attitude.  Roadblocks are only failures if you choose to give up and walk away.  You have to visualize the success you're working to attain and keep marching towards it.  You have to be unstoppable.

When you find a way around, over or through your obstacles and setbacks, you'll discover a renewed confidence, will power and determination that will embolden your journey to the fulfillment of your destiny. The success you so intensely desire is within your grasp.  The obstacles you encounter in pursuit of your dream serve to make you stronger and unstoppable in your journey to achieve victory.

Pitball's Inspiring Story of Success and Not Giving Up

DYLAN AND JOSH AT BAYSIDE MARKET PLACE

I am the mother of two boys.  I have a 12 year old and 9 year old.  Since I am a single parent it can extremely challenging dealing with my boys and keeping them focused.  My youngest is extremely bright but he thinks he knows everything and last year he was getting in trouble in school constantly.  My older son is mildly Autistic and was always very well behaved but now that he is going to puberty he has become extremely stubborn.

To deal with their hyperactive and stubborn personalities, I enrolled both of my kids in after school sports.  I also thought it was a good idea so they would have social interaction with other kids and wouldn't be glued to their PlayStation 3 24/7.

They have been in karate and tennis for about three years.  But when they first started, they did not want to even make an attempt at following instructions, listening,  hitting the ball, running to get to the ball etc.   I always stressed to both that they needed to try and not give up.   I told them that they should never give up because nothing in life is easy and that they will always face failure during their life. But that THEY needed to try over and over to the achieved their goalS.

Since they both love Rapper Pitball's music, I emphasized the fact about his music's upbeat lyrics.  If you  listen to the lyrics of his music, you'll find he is always stressing that he came from the wrong side of tracks and accomplished super stardom and success.   (I love his music too! AND I am old school I don't like many rappers).  Pitball is always rapping about not giving up and achieving success.  I also told them about his story.  Pitball was a poor kid raised by a single parent but his persaverence determination and will to succeed made him a Super Star known worldwide.  Today Pitball's net worth is approximately 10 million dollars.

As he says in his songs he went from Mr. 305 to Mr. World Wide.

Here is his story:

Armando Christion Perez aka "PITBALL"

Pitbull is a professional rapper and extremely popular and famous today.  He has featured many music tracks with countless of the hottest artists in the United States, has many endorsements with major companies like Budweiser and Walmart as well as a net worth according to Forbes of 10 million dollars.   Before he was "Pitbull",  Armando Christian Pérez, went through hell to get to where he is now.

Pitbull was born to Cuban parents on January 15,1981 in Miani, Florida. His parents divorced when he was very young and he was raised by a single mom.

During high school, at the age of 16, he was kicked out of his house by his mother because he was dealing drugs and he spent his sometime with a foster family in Roswell, Georgia. His father had also dealt drugs when he was younger.

Pitbull began rapping at a very young age, and was influenced by Nas, Notorious B.I.G. and Big Pun. After graduating from Coral Park High School, he decided not to continue on to college. But instead, he focused on his rapping career. In 2002, he got his big break when he was tapped as a featured guest in Lil Jon and East Side Boyz' album "Kings of Crunk". The next year, he scored music called "Oye" which was featured in the movie "2 Fast 2 Furious".

Pitbull released his debut album "M.I.A.M.I." under TVT Records in 2004. The title of the record is an acronym for Money Is a Major Issue. He reached number 14 on Billboard Hot 200 due to having Fat Joe, Trick Daddy and Lil Jon as collaborators, Singles from the effort included "Culo" and "Toma".

After the success of "M.I.A.M.I", Pitbull became the most-wanted collaborator for other Hip-Hop artists.  He was signed to join Anger Management Tour which was headlined by Eminem and 50 Cent.   And he also lent his vocal to many singles from big stars like Ying Yang Twins, Twista and Wyclef Jean.

Then two years after  his first album, Pitbull came out with his sophomore set "El Mariel". The title of the album referred to the boat that transported Cuban refugees to Florida in the movie "Scarface". He dedicated this record to his father, who died that year in May. With this studio project, he reached number 2 on Billboard Hot Rap Albums chart and at number 1 on Independent chart. And in Billboard Hot 200, he climbed to number 17.

Pitbull's third studio effort "The Boatlift" was released in 2007. And even though it included countless well known contributors such as Trina, Jim Jones and Lloyd, this album failed to rank on the top 20 of Billboard Hot 200. It only debuted at number 50 on the chart, selling 22,203 copies in its first week, far below expectations. In its second week, it added 9,686 copies and dropped to number 134 on the chart.

On August 31 2009, Pitbull returned with "Rebelution". Two of its singles reached top
10 on Billboard Hot 100. "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" secured the second spot, while "Hotel Room Service" peaked at number 9 on the U.S. singles chart. Another track titled "Blanco" was featured in film "Fast and Furious".

Pitbull's Cuban background and upbringing in Miami influenced his music immensely.  These two factors allowed him to be at the forefront of many coinciding styles and demographics: the Latin audience (as well as the hip-hop audience, and the vast variety of club music for which Miami is a hub.  He stated  "I grew up around salsa, merengue, bachata, bass music, freestyle, hip-hop, techno, house, rave," and "Miami is special for that. It's a city where you don't know if it's more a part of the US, or of the Caribbean, or of Latin America, or of Europe."

2011–present: Planet Pit and Global Warming

  • Pitbull performing in 2011 Pitbull released his highly anticipated follow-up English album, Planet Pit, on June 21, 2011. The album sold 492,175 copies within the first 48 hours of sale. Pitbull collaborated with T-Pain on its first single, "Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor)". Pitbull has also collaborated with Jennifer Lopez on her single "On the Floor".

  • On March 22, 2011, Pitbull released his second single, "Give Me Everything" featuring Ne-Yo, Afrojack and Nayer, and three months later, the song became Pitbull's first single to top the Billboard Hot 100.

  • On May 2, 2011, Pitbull and Mýa appeared on WWE Raw to celebrate The Rock's birthday.Pitbull appeared as musical guest on Conan on August 1, 2011.

  •  On August 22, 2011, Lindsay Lohan sued Pitbull, Ne-Yo and Afrojack in response to "Give Me Everything"'s lyrics referencing her name.

  • On November 19, 2012. It was also announced that the lead single from the album will be titled "Get It Started" featuring singer Shakira.

  • Regarding the title of the album, Pitbull explained that it reflects the fact that, much like the phenomenon of global warming, he's been around for a while but all of a sudden, people are paying attention

  • Pitbull was attached to the Men in Black 3 soundtrack, releasing the song "Back in Time", which samples "Love Is Strange" by Mickey & Sylvia. The third single was Feel This Moment featuring American singer-songwriter Christina María Aguillera.

  • Pitbull started his new world tour in June 2012.

Last but not least how did he come up with his stage name PITBALL?

In his own words, Pitbull explained the reason behind  selecting his stage name, saying about the dog, "they bite to lock. The dog is too stupid to lose. And they're outlawed in Dade County. They're basically everything that I am. It's been a constant fight."

Conclusion:

I selected to highlight his story because it's extremely inspiring and it's an awesome example about not giving up.  He came from a poor and dysfunctional family but he refused to blame his dad, mom or society.   An instead he chose  to pursue his dreams relentlessly.  Failures were a learning experiences rather than the end of the world.

According to Pitbull, he chose the stage name "Pitbull" because of the breeds tenacity - because when a Pitball bites it won't let go.  And Armando Christian Perez was not going to let go of his dream to achieve success and become a huge star.  He stated that he has been a Pitbull his entire life  and that his life had been a constant struggle.  And rather than giving up he kept on fighting.

Many kids with his background would have ended up in jail or dead.

Ms. Susan Boyle: An Inspiring Story

Susan Boyle - Britains Got Talent 2009 Episode 1 - Saturday 11th April |

http://youtu.be/RxPZh4AnWyk

I wanted to share this great article about the amazing and inspiring story of Susan Boye, a 47 year old unemployed, never married woman from Scotland who won Britain's Got Talent Competition.  Susan Boyle is awesome example of dreaming and believing in your dreams and not putting an age limit on your dreams and goals. And most importantly never, never giving up on your dreams of success.

Many times people give up after enduring countless failures, rejections, and frustrations in their quest to achieve their dreams of success. Susan Boyle's achievement can serve to validate, inspire and strengthen anyone that has patiently suffered through numerous hardships and setbacks in their pursuit of fortune and achievement.

Ms. Susan Boyle: An Inspiring Story

By Amy Twain

By the time you read this, you probably heard of the inspiring life story of Susan Boyle. A 47-year old, unemployed, never been married (and never been kissed) woman from Scotland who elicited lots of praises and compliments not just from the three judges, but also from millions of people across the universe, thanks to Youtube.

Her inspiring story spread rapidly like wildfire and inspires others (especially underdogs and dark horses like her) to reach for your dreams no matter what. The Britain's Got Talent contestant (by far the most popular these days), delivered a strong performance backed up with an even appropriate and inspirational song,  I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables. I like watching that show, in the sense that Britain's Got Talent is indeed about talent. It's about talent through and through, despite your looks, and your age. And what I even like most about the inspiring story of Ms. Susan Boyle is that it's as if she's the epitome of dreaming and believing in your dreams and not putting an age limit to your dreams and goals.

What makes this inspiring story so appealing to the masses, is the fact that we have a not-so-young dreamer dreaming to be a professional singer (wants to be as successful as Elaine Page at that!), when generally, dreaming is associated for the young and their promising future. But here, we have Susan Boyle to change the face of dreaming big and giving us her inspiring story.

Truly, she's not just a living example, but also a living inspiration as well! I know of other singing competitions that imposed age limits on their contestants. It's good that Britain's Got Talent never limits their contestants for a certain age bracket only. Why this allure about second chances and underdogs and dark horses? And why not it just goes to show that all of us, at some moments in our lives, can relate to being underdogs, since we experienced what it feels like being an underdog
selves.

We want to be inspired and strengthened after failure, rejection, and frustration. An inspiring story like Susan Boyle's is just one strong validation and we felt justified that we can be like her. She's also a real person (and not just any fictitious character) and she's like one of us, living an ordinary life but who wants to have a better life.

So, how who can resist this inspiring story? As we live our day to day struggle in our lives, we all need some bits of inspiration to make us smile, enlightened, hopeful and optimistic for our future. And we don't need pretty faces, toned muscles, almost-perfect hair that light up our TV screens to make us inspired.

On the contrary, it's those flawed, ordinary-looking individuals which we can relate to that make us more humane and we can say," If she can do it, I can too". And I love that smiling aura of Ms. Boyle devoid of any arrogance or self-pity (unemployed, but still looking) when asked what she's going to do onstage.

She said, "I'm gonna wow the audience". And boy, she did more than just that's she even received a standing ovation not just from the crowd, but also from the two judges. Everybody's got an inspiring story---what's yours?

Motivation - The Heart Of Self Improvement

Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Failing a test make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our need to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the push to speak up and fight for ourselves to save face from the next embarrassment. It may be a bitter experience, a friend's tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.

With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Try these tips:

A - Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."

B - Believe in yourself, and in what you can do.

C - Consider things from every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.

D - Don't give up and don't give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, thousands of times before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation your steering wheel.

E - Enjoy. Work as if you don't need money. Dance as if nobody's watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you'll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.

F - Family and Friends - are life's greatest 'F' treasures. Don't lose sight of them.

G - Give more than is enough. Where does motivation and self improvement take place at work? At home? At school? When you expert extra effort in doing things.

H - Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.

I - Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don't let other people to get the best of you. Stay away from toxic people - the kind of friends who hate to hear about your success.

J - Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself. And the key to failure is to try to please everyone.

K - keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. When a person is motivated, eventually he sees a harsh life finally clearing out, paving the way to self improvement.

L - Learn to love yourself. Now isn't that easy?

M - Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.

N - Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.

O - Open your eyes. People should learn good sense. They see things in 2 ways - how they want things to be, and how they should be.

P - Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn ways we can recover from our mistakes.

Q - Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate - are you going to be a quitter? Or a winner?

R - Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, it wasn't raining when Noah build the ark.

S - Stop procrastinating.

T - Take control of your life. Discipline or self control jibes synonymously with motivation. Both are key factors in self improvement.

U - Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.

V - Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W - Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing. And to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self improvement.

X - X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on "extras" on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.

Y - You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because you're just going to have it once.

Z - Zero in on your dreams and go for it!

How to Be Open-Minded to New Ideas

If you have definite ideas about how things are or how they should be, you’ve probably had someone tell you to “keep an open mind.” Having an open mind is important to succeed in life.
Embracing, or at least considering, new ideas and technologies is vital to our personal growth.

Are you willing to consider someone else’s opinion? Can you look at facts that may seem suspect and analyze them without bias? If you’re open-minded, you can be flexible when met with new ideas. It means you can adapt to new experiences.

Being able to think critically is a vital component of being open-minded. In our quickly changing technological world, it’s important to keep an open mind in order to keep up and stay current, rather than missing out on all the new things around us.

It’s also important to be willing to change your views when you’re given new facts. This could prove crucial depending on your chosen profession. For example, as a police officer or lawyer, being willing to see things from a different perspective could help you achieve greater successes.

Here are some ways to learn how to be open-minded to new ideas:

1.      Decide now that you don’t have to be right all the time. While it’s not unusual for some people to be obsessed with being right, it’s not something that’s looked favorably upon. No one can be right all the time, not even you!

  • Try to be relaxed when discussing new ideas rather than having a knee-jerk reaction to be right.

2.      Recognize that there are many reasons why people have certain beliefs. They may be from a different country or have different life experiences that have shaped those beliefs. Someone born at an earlier time would also see things differently than you.

3.      Learn to listen carefully. Rather than jumping in with your opinion, let the other person finish speaking. Then use active, or reflective, listening to understand and clarify their ideas:

  • Repeat back to them what you understood. Respectfully ask questions when you don’t understand or agree with their standpoint.

4.      Look at things from a different perspective. Before deciding that a new idea doesn’t have merit, consider doing some research to understand the concept better. Consider the way the other person explained the idea and see if it makes more sense after you’ve researched it.

5.      “Walk a mile” in someone else’s shoes. Spend some time volunteering in your community. This will allow you to see things from a different perspective and with certain limitations.

6.      Take time to try something new. There’s no better way to open your mind to new ideas than to attempt a new task. Learning new skills or taking up a new hobby can open your mind in ways that nothing else will. Give it a try; you may be pleasantly surprised!

It’s true that being open-minded can be an advantage in many aspects of life, however, don’t be too quick to become open-minded about everything. There may be some deeply held beliefs that you don’t want to leave by the wayside in order to embrace openness. That’s okay!

While you’re learning to be open-minded to new ideas, remember that it’s fine and good to hold onto some beliefs and stand up for what you believe in.

Just because an idea is new to you doesn’t mean you must agree with it in order to be open-minded. Having an open mind will strengthen your skills to evaluate new ideas intelligently and choose truth in your life.
